    1. Glenn, I will dig out the books, only unit histories, you probably have them all but you never know. I will drop you a line. Glad you are well or I assume so. Best Regards Jock:)
    2. Glenn, On WAF there was speculation that it was not uncommon for this German state as they had strong links with the Swedish. Is your second name Jewson as in Sennelager? If so I have some books for you, I still keep my eyes peeled for those unit histories and the likes, haven't seen any Rank lists though! Jock:)
    3. I couldn't make out the Stadt Celle entry, thanks for the translation. I bet you Reinmetall were paying more than the town jail? Jock:)
    4. I think it is important that where ever something ends up, it is appreciated by whoever is custodian for that time. I have fished so much stuff out of the bin it defies belief but it happens a lot. Collector, museum or family (best option) so long as its loved! Jock:)
    5. I never thought of a CD but maybe that would work? You see them all the time on ebay with private photographs etc? Jock:)
    6. Guys, A small group to a Dr Lamprecht, Inf Regt 169. Sadly still only the ribbon bars and bits n bobs. It was posted up on WAF a while back. I suppose you guys will appreciate it more. Jock:)
    7. Guys, I normally don't bother looking at these anymore but it was a slow day so had a peek and it was to a local office boy working at said factory in Unterluss, they still develop things there today! Jock:)
    8. Guys, Been downstairs again. Rediscovered a few imperial discs to add to the database. Jock:)
    9. Guys, Some Iron from the past year, Don already helped me out with spotting the catch replacement on the 'pillowback', then about a month or so later I got another with what I think is the original system, it looks a bit flimsy? The others are unmarked and one is slightly convex. I am not the best with a camera, sorry! Jock:)
    10. Andy, That is a tough nut to crack, maybe some middle ground somewhere, an electronic book or such like where interested folk would have to pay a fee for access. I don't know how 'lexicon' works but if put out there as a reference website perhaps you could recoup a bit through the advertising aspect or charging a very low fee per page view or the likes. Sadly I don't know what is actually electronically available/achievable these days. The other end of the stick is you may make nothing back and it could go to the grave with you, anything can happen as I need not remind you with Ricks passing. I hope you find a way to share your hard work and make a bit back for all you time and effort. I wish you all the best with this project! Jock:)
    11. I like the scruffy look, like they stored their uniform vacuum packed in a crisp packet! Proper front soldiers. Jock:)
    12. Sorry got my wires crossed, I thought you meant the baker went on the arty courses. The arty bloke got EK2 I think, just above the pasted in page Para9? Jock:)
    13. Interesting that he was on Arty courses, must have been destined for greater things, had they not come second! What do you think of the Arty SB? Jock:)
    14. Chris, I have seen the wooden ones ( some in the museum) and have a couple of the wider ones somewhere, until now I have never seen the 'single type before, just goes to show, I should pay more attention! Jock:) jock:)
    15. He must have been smart, do you want to stand in this sodden trench all day or would you like to go back to where it is warm and there is food, let me think about that? Hell yes! Jock:)
    16. Ed, I always thought the MG08 ammo box was the wider type, these look WW2 in construction but are clearly not, every day is a school day, thanks! Jock:)
    17. Guys, Thanks for the info, you all really seem to know your stuff, I am scanning another Pass now but it is unexciting, it tickled me because it is to a field bakery, I will do another after this one to the artillery to keep 'paddy' happy? It is slow and painful my machine! Jock:)
    18. Chris, What are his badges on Page 2 of the book para7 (the 5th pic across)? I have noted that not all SB have this para 7? I shall do the military passes then!! Jock:)
    19. Guys, not strictly imperial but I have not seen much from the 100000 man defence force, I know there are not many entries but surely unusual a pass? Jock:)
