A newer house in the Short Strand, a small Catholic enclave in the mostly Protestant Belfast. Note the low brick walls, a bit of urban counter-insurgent architecture. The crane for the Harland and Wolfe shipyard is in the background. That's the shipyard that built the titanic.

Many Korean war vets now also have the Korean Korean War medal. They started issuing it about @ 10 years ago. Did the 18th receive the Korean presidential unit citation? That was often worn by USAF persons on their ribbon bar (if the unit received it).

So somebody ripped the officers cross off and replaced it with a medal? The officer's calss of SMNK was also awarded to Officer Stellvtrs. and Fldwbllts..
