    1. Gentlemen - some time ago I posted some items relating to my family, and promised to one day photograph a butcher bayonet my paternal grandfather brought home from Palestine. Well, it has finally been unearthed.......
    2. My small contribution. I've had this one for around 15 years. No reverse shot (sorry!) but it has black backing. cheers Jason
    3. Thanks for all the input gents. I'm in no rush to purchase one, I just need it to restore an 1870 medal bar. I think I'll pass on this one and wait for something closer to Alex's! thanks again Jason
    4. Hi Gents, I'm really in need of some expert input regarding this 1870 EK2. I would rather throw is open to comments from people more knowledgeable than me, than throw money away if it's a fake. thanks in advance for your help! Jason
    5. Hello Heiko. The piece came in a "grab bag" of medal bar pieces, backing plates and a mounted Hindenburg Cross ribbon so nothing concrete to establish whether it was part of the entire lot. I'd say the seller decided to clear the stuff from his junk drawer. Thanks for the info though - I was sort of thinking it may have been some kind of local award for a shooting or singing competition. cheers Jason
    6. Hello Gents, I got this little single medal/ribbon bar amongst a few other items the other day, and originally wrote it off as some kind of pre-1933 or post-1945 ribbon. It appears to have had a device attached to it. After a little searching on the ribbon charts I have I discovered the ribbon matches the Reuss Older Line Rettungsmedaille. Am I right in assuming it could be one of these or barking up the wrong tree entirely? Your input and opinions are very welcome! cheers Jason
    7. And a slightly fuzzy reverse shot, but you get the idea. cheers Jason
    8. Good evening Gents, I haven't bought anything lately, but when I saw this one a couple of weeks ago I couldn't resist it. Nice and simple - I like it!
    9. Thanks for the comments gents - the return policy at the shop will be utilised tomorrow! cheers Jason
    10. Good evening gents, picked up this EK2 this week as a part exchange...nothing spectacular, but it appealed to me as a nice example. Crisp detail, with KAG stamped on the ring. Also being on a tri-fold ribbon makes it appealing! cheers Jason
