    1. Nothing outstanding, just a small Bavarian bar with makers label. Obverse
    2. Rick, yet again your right. Like you, I'm also not sure if the Redeemer is pre or post war, hard to tell without any backup documents. However, it's nice to have this one as there can surely be very few of these mounted on Imperial Bars sachaw, I think this bar was on Phillipp's site a few years ago. Paul, as you said, I've not seen that many of this Baden Kreuz mounted before, so again a reason for me to snag this one. Mike
    3. This interesting bar arrived at it's new home yesterday. EK2 RKM3 Baden Kreuz f?r freiwillige Kriegshilfe, mit Eichenkranz Hamburg HK HK for non com Greek Order of the Redeemer 1st class I'm wondering if a name could be put to this bar, as it's unusual to see a Greek officers award on a German bar? Front pic
    4. Hello Scott, Yes, IMHO the piece you have shown is correct for a Wagner made award. Here's a couple of pics of mine, which is marked "938 W"
    5. While Herr Leiste takes it easy in the saddle .... well he is getting old by now.
    6. A few pics from 1937. Has to be some sort of reserve manoeuvres.
    7. Rick, Dohhhh ... Prince August Wilhelm is what I meant to type and thanks for the correction. I've got to say that the badge IS very well made and I'm sure it's not some sort of make believe thing. I'll try and contact VerKuilen Ager as you suggested to see what he makes of it. A couple of scans from Herr Lieste's Album
    8. Well that's my lot for tonight .. there are a good few photos of Herr Leiste in his later service that I have. I just know that from a simple medal bar I have in my collection a great history for a guy that served his country for many years. Cheers, Mike
    9. A little later history, maybe a connection to one of the Friekorps units. A couple of pics first then a badge that was in the group.
    10. I think this is a very nice set of pics showing the Crown Prince's visit to the unit.
    11. But now a few scans from the album and a trip through a soldiers career. Starting with the first entries in the album. I guess where he was first stationed on the Russian front.
