    1. here are few pics of Willi Striehn, who served in Spain from October the 8th of 1936, to november 15th, 1937. He was appointed to the workshop Coy of the Panzergruppe Drohne. He served to the Pz.Rgt.3 in Africa and in Kreta.
    2. Here is a beautiful picture showing few officers of the Panzergruppe Drohne. It was taken in Cubas (Spain). Hptm. Ziegler , Otl. von Thoma, Hptm. Jansa Olt. Bothe, Olt. Willing, Hptm. Ostmann. At the top, I think he is Mj.Crohn It is interesting to see the berets which show the skull with the rank's stars and not the swastica.
    3. Original signed letter from Hermann G?ring to the familly.
    4. Medalla de sufrimientos por la Patria document. This medal was awarded to the wounded, but also the soldiers who died in Spain.
    5. Medalla de la campa?a document. Note that he died in 1938 and the document is dated 1939.
    6. The spanish cross in silver document. According to the fact that he received the silver class , I deduct that he died accidently in mission. those who died in a combat action received the gold class, and those who died of illness or other were awarded the bronze class. Nothing proove it, it just my opinion based on several group I saw.
    7. And on the last page of the album, this drew which was done by comrades for the family. I already such a small album with same drew in another LC dead soldier. May be one of you own also such an album which could confirm this common practize in the very early war years.
    8. I recently acquired a really interesting small group. It was already proposed to me 2 years ago, but no money at the time, and recently, it appeared again to me. I then took the opportunity. The group is attributed to Ogefr. Siegfried BODE who died in Spain. He was appointed to the F/88. He died on April 9th, 1938, following a motorcycle accident near Alcarraz. He was awarded the "Medalla de la Campa?a", the "Medalla de sufrimientos por la Patria", the spanish cross in silver. I suppose that he was also awarded the Next of kin cross, but it is not in the group. The group contain also a letter from H. G?ring to the familly, and a small emotional photo album showing pics of the burial ceremony. So, not a big group, but great by the story which is behind it. Here is the Photoalbum cover page, which has been decorated by his former comrades.
    9. Hi, Don't forget that these crosses are larger than the normal one : 58mm instead of 56mm here is a blury pic of an old german magazine
    10. Stan, do you have better close up ? with the full MM ? jacques
    11. It is difficult to say, so few are available and very few collectors get one in hand. Nevertheless, the engraving do not match to what I know, or saw . Concerning the cross itself, I can't honestly say. the pebbling looks correct. May be some of you have better comparatives pics jacques
    12. I confirm your though. the ribbon white part glows and it doens't burn correctly.
    13. Hi SAL, I saw this document on the net. It is a copy IMO. I didn't check the name, but I think it is not listed in this unit book "los hombres de von Thoma"(the list in the book isn't complete). the signature of von Thoma is too fat. I suppose the paper doens't match to an original . jacques
    14. Hi Daniel, The badge arrived in his new home ? I'm happy, it finally took less than 10 days. Jacques
    15. Concerning the ribbon, the parade mounting looks good , but to know if the ribbon is not post-war it needs to be touched or ultraviolet enlightened. Anyway, fine and scarce cross
    16. Hi, I don't like that cross too. The eagles are crudely soldered and have an odd design. the cross itself looks very different from a known original. Even these crosses are smaller than the normal ones, they are sharply detailed thus the eagles. If you search in this forum , you will find a dedicated thread. jacques
    17. Hi 11 is Brossmann & Co, but L/11 is Deumer.it is two separated codes. Deumer had also 3 as code number. jacques
    18. Hi, I just have one in my files. So , it seems that the answer is "yes". jacques
    19. I already saw it somewhere bt can't find it again. For sure, never awarded to LC members. jacques
    20. Cruz de tropa de la Orden Militar de Mar?a Cristina 1931 sin lises
