@ Pierce: Thanks for your kind words. His CV, written as presentation letter, for his career... quite an interesting WWI service status, I must say... after the Palestinian/Ottoman front he was transferred back to France where, during a bombing mission over Paris, was taken prisoner.

@ Vince: it's such a small word. Falke tried to apply to get a commission as a major, which was refused in Nov 20, since he didn't fullfill the conditions...

Another post-war (1920) more detailed evaluation of Falke's service in the army...

He got also the written confirmation and approval on 9th of November 1920, to wear the uniform of a discharched Hauptmann (Fussart Regt 17)...

Letter confirming is rank of Hauptmann (14.05.1920)...

After WWI Falke coming back as a POW tried to get the recognition from the newly established republic of Weimar, in order to get benefits or even a job in the 100'000 shrunk German army... Here a Major and commanding officer vouching for Falke's skills...

Here you can see the name of the commanding officer who signed this paper... (Brigadegeneral Freiherr von Krehs und Kommandeur des XVII. Armeekorps... any info on this high ranking officer?).

Another document attesting the skills of Obltn Falke on the front in Palestina and receiving the approval of the commanding officer to become an instructor...
