    2. Hello, I was wondering if anyone has a picture or have an Original Stormtroop Badge that they can post? Just curious as to what it/they look like, not some of the repros Thanks as always! Greg
    3. Very nice pieces! Congratulations on a great score. Best Greg
    4. Hey all, I upgraded the display for my A-H collection, got some nice wood cases from Southern Star Displays (Great folks to deal with BTW) and ditched the Riker boxes they were in. Just thought it would add some class. Also, got another medal (Iron Cross of Merit) and will be getting a couple more in the mail here soon (I hope!). Here's the collection as of today (my photography still sucks!) And yes, that is a family portrait - from 17 years ago
    5. Here, here! Very nice indeed. Perhaps someday......I'll have such a "modest" collection. Got any extras you want to unload? I'll be happy to help you out. Thanks all for your kind words and comments on mine. Much appreciated! Best Greg
    6. Hello all, I recently ordered some wood display cases to replace the Riker's I'm using now. The wood cases are 2" deep and the stands I'm using now for the Riker's is only about an inch or so deep. I think I'll need a stand with more depth to handle the wood cases. Can't seem to find one, hoping someone here might point me in the right direction. Another thought would be to extend what I have now. I thought maybe a couple of covered screws? Your thoughts please! Here's the stand I'm using now https://www.hobbylobby.com/Home-Deco...1-2%22/p/40750 Any ideas or suggestions would be great! Thanks as always! Greg
    7. Hello all, I recently started to collect military awards of the A-H Empire. It's been a blast so far, and I have many more to go. Just thought I'd show what I have so far. Not many expensive pieces, but a start. So.................here's my modest collection Still looking for a 3, 4 and 5 Wound Medal Sorry about the picture quality, I'm a crappy photographer! Best, Greg
    8. Thanks so very much!!! Great info. Best, Greg
    9. Hey all, does this mounting look okay? Period or recent? Your thoughts please. Thanks so much Greg
    10. Thanks for the tip! Could you give me a link to his shop or PM the info if you so wish. Thanks again! Greg
    11. Hey all, I'd like to clean some of the dirt and grime on some medals and get rid of that green crude also. Would a warm water and soapy (dish soap ) mixture be acceptable. Your thoughts please. Thanks so much! Greg
    12. Hey all, can someone recommend or point me to a display box for ODM that can be hung or used with a plate/picture holder? I have Riker boxes, but would like something a bit more dressy. Of course I don't want to use any kind of attaching device to the back of the ribbon or medal. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Greg
    13. Hey all, I want to start collecting A-H awards, but I'm very green on this subject. I plan on starting with common medals and try to "work my way up". My question is, are there any good resources to help me determine fakes/repros from originals (books, sites etc)? Any good sources/dealers to buy from? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Greg
    14. Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has any images of the current Merit Crosses (Army, Navy and Air Force) and their criteria for award. Please don't confuse these crosses with the War Merit Cross of WWI, WWII and today. Thanks so much! Greg
    15. Hi, the silver OLC wasn't authorized until 1947. I think the "silver" OLC looks "silver" due to lighting perhaps. There is a picture of him after the war wearing his full size medals and the OLC's are the correct amount awarded to him during the war. Best, Greg
    16. Hi all, has anyone had any dealing with this outfit? I'm looking for a couple of fillers for my EK collection (Star to the GC). They look to be of good quality, but pics can always be deceiving. So, are their medals of good quality or pot metal wonders? Thanks so much! Greg
    17. Hey all, my son found this in a thrift store and I picked it up today (paid $60 for it), I'm a far cry from knowing much about these helmets, so....I'm hoping one of you experts can let me know if it's real or fake. It's in almost mint condition (so I have a feeling it's fake), but here are some pics of it: So what say you? Thanks so much! Greg
    18. Hi all, there is an interesting video on Grand Duke Carl on Youtube (Hitler's Favorite Royal). You can feel for the poor guy after you watch you. Anyway, hope this link works if your interested.
    19. Hi all, can someone give me an illustrated history of Polish para badges from WWII to the present. What types where/are awarded, qualification to receive the badge etc. Any help and pictures would be wonderful. Thanks so very much!!! Greg
    20. Hi all, fun post! Anyway, these are mine. My wife had these made up for me when I Retired from the US Army. I have a great wife! Top Row: MSM w/OLC ARCOM w/Silver OLC AAM w/OLC AGCM w/2 Silver Loops NDSM HSM Bottom Row: MOVSM AFRM last 4 are those unofficial "Commemorative" medals that are just made up for vet sales (she wanted to "round out" the group. Best, Greg
    21. Thanks Chris! What does BMPE translate into English? The CIB can be awarded to foreign personal attached to US Army units as Chris has stated. The CIB has been awarded to foreign personal during the Korean War, Vietnam and the current war(s) ibn the Middle East. Not a common award however. Best, Greg
    22. Hi all, interesting that he has an American Army CIB. Also, Chris, what is the badge he has with the crossed swords on a wreath? Always curious about this badge. Thanks so much! Greg
