    1. A new thread where you can post photos of Kaiserliche Marine Admirals and other lower ranking officers for identification.

I need help with some photos, so I will start posting them. If you recognize the officer please comment.

#1: Who is this admiral? I don't know the exact rank.

    3. A very exciting new addition to my collection.
Admiral Hermann von Fischel, Naval-Commander Channel Coast (20 February 1941-31 January 1943), visiting Dieppe on 22 August 1942, just a couple of days after the failed Allied amphibious attack that happened on 19 August 1942.
Nicely visible are many of von Fischel's badge decorations. These include: Iron Cross (1914) 1st Class with the 1939 Clasp above it; Grand Cross of the Spanish Order of Naval Merit with White Decoration; Silesian Eagle 1st Class; Naval Artillery War Badge and the 1918 version of the U-boat War Badge.
Sadly not visible on the other side of his chest is the Spanish Cross in Gold with Swords.

    6. Staff meeting of the Commanding Admiral Black Sea, December 1943. The place is most likely Simferopol on the Crimea, where the Headquarters were located from February 1943 until February 1944.
The Commanding Admiral Black Sea was in charge of all naval forces in the Black Sea, Sea of Azov and the surrounding coastlines that were in German hands.

    8. Konteradmiral (Ing.) Max Peters photographed in his backyard.
I believe this photo was taken on the day or shortly after his promotion to Konteradmiral (Ing.) on 01 August 1944.
During this time he was the Arsenal-Commandant of the Kriegsmarine-Arsenal Gotenhafen (10 January 1944-28 March 1945).
I have another photo of him from the same occasion which I will post tomorrow.

    9. Portrait of Vizeadmiral z.V. Paul Wülfing von Ditten, Under-Secretary at the Reichs Transport Ministry and Head of the Maritime Shipping Office (06 June 1940-29 May 1942).
This is a press photo and the description on the back of the photo says:
"The Head of the newly created Maritime Shipping Office.
In the course of the recently reported organizational changes in the Reich Ministry of Transport, maritime affairs have been consolidated in a Maritime Office. The Führer has entrusted its management to Vizeadmiral z.V. Wülfing von Ditten, who has been given the title of State Secretary. This centralized organization is intended to emphasize the importance of maritime shipping, to promote its development and to provide a guarantee for the performance of the future tasks of German maritime shipping."
