Is that the one from Chris? VERY nice! I want to find one of these one day. They fascinate my mechanical side.

Here is one from the same maker in the case of issue. It had the receipt allowing the owner to pick it up folded up in the box. Most of you know the story.

Stogieman, remember this little gem? It is still here safe and sound. They made some of my favorite medals and orders and they made this bar!

Here is one I think is metal. I have never really poked at it to see.

I have had this for a few months now and I found a semi-close match. According to Neal O'Connor the first four awards were won by PLM Ace, Leutnant Karl Bolle. The Austrian military merit cross is not mentioned. I know I am dreaming big here but can someone confirm or deny that the bar could be his? The only photos of him that I have found show him in an overcoat with only the PLM visible. I would be greatly thankful for the help even if it is not his.
Thanks,

Here is a picture of a common flaw on Floch pieces. I noticed this a few years ago. If you look you can find this on EK1s, KVK1s and the L/14 Gold WB. NOTE: not all pieces have this flaw on the pin. It was corrected at some point but I did use it to tie the three fakes to the same maker. There is a slight indentation on the left side that I am trying to point to. Look at the other pictures and you will see it in most of them. Funny thing is that is seems to only appear on the left side. I have never found one otherwise.
