    1. Sal,

I don't understand what you mean by "small swastica".

The eagles were soldered close to the center and the swasticas were soldered to the center too. the picture is not taken from above but a little bit sided, this is the reason why the upper right eagle's swas looks like cut.

The eagles holding the swastikas. the top arm of the swastikas are not defined at all. The swa looks like it has 3 lower arms and a lump . looks like they are badly cast or something.

    2. Yours appears to be made from a die without swords but there are legit ones with swords cut off. That gets into tricky territory though. It is thought that meybauer(I believe it is meybauer) had no die without swords and cut them of as needed. It seems to be if you can detect the cutoff but it is very well done that is suspect. The meybaur ones you can clearly see the cutoff but the finish is applied afterwards so it is on top of the cut area.

    3. Gentlemen,

Does anyone know if there has ever been a list of all aircraft and their WNr.s that served with the Condor Legion produced? I am especially interested in those aircraft that served with AS/88 - the maritime unit. Likewise, the operational files for the Condor Legion must have existed at one time or another; does anyone know if the still do exist - and if so, where?

      Best regards

      Adam

Adam, I think that type of list will be hard to obtain. I can help you with many 109 #'s if you like but a complete list of all airdraft wing #'s I think is a daunting task.

What are you looking for exactly? Is this for models or are you researching something specific?

    4. You are abolutely right, I would say, if you have 20 Poellath badges in your hand, they are all different, which does not make it easier to detect fakes. I do not know why Poellath made the badges in such many variations, for example maker marks, pins, crowns, backplates etc. I live quite near to the town where the Poellath factory is still in bussines, unfortunately there is no more records or information available.

That on is on ebay gents so if any of you are sure of it feel free.

It scares me too much , because I don't know enough about these:P

      Thanks for all your replies!

    5. Jacques, the one I saw at Wolf and hardin seemed absolutly real. This one is not as nice. The pebbling looks different and the engraving is not right IMO. I would think they would all be of the same consistant quality because Godet made all of them I believe and there were so few. Wouldnt they all be the same except for the hand finishing? I would expect no room for variants.
