Nobody finds these interesting?
I am mezmerized by the posibilities of the invatation and what it might have been for and who might have been in attendance, but then again I have an overactive imagination!

And the final piece of this little group is interesting. It is an invitation card to a party on board the ship. I notice that it says Wilhelmshaven (where the ship was built and often stationed) , is it possible this is an invitation card to the Christening party for the ship? I assumed Ad. Heine was an Admiral but in my searches i found no such admiral so maybe it means something completely different?

Here is the postcard, I can't read what some of it says (I am still terrible at reading German handwriting!!!) Looks as if it has greetings from the guy to his family as well as from a shipmate of his.

Hi Guys (and girls if we have any here),
I got this little group with the postcard dated only about 2 months before Panzerschiff Deutschland went to Spain for the first time. (on a subsequent journey to Spain it was attacked and bombed by Republican forces causing much damage and a number of fatalities). here is the KM cap band with metal wire embroidery.

I n ever realized that the English also had batons. Nor that they were so similar in design to the nazi ones. Is the baton a military tradition of many nations?

OK i have 58 solid backed with pics names so far.
I am not including any lists in books, ie:diamonds winners, in this figure
I need all your private collection pieces, the unspectacular , the average LC man documentation, those are the most important ones for the list.
Come on fellows only some 25950 left to go

Hi Chris, I just got an unused Gold SC that was awarded to Willi Oblau who died in Spain so it must have been awarded posthumously. It also came with the Sufremientos por la patria document as Jacques describes.
