Hello! I would be grateful if someone could help me with the exact identification. These are supposed to be personal pieces from Grand Duke Mikhail, once as the Tsar's naval adjutant and the other from the imperial guard?? Thank you very much and greetings

Hi, the silver shoulder boards belong to the Fliegel Adjutant of the Emperor's Suite, Colonel of Chevalier Guard regiment. The gold - to the Fliegel Adjutant of the Emperor's Suite, Captain of the 1st Rank

Hi! I thought the shoulder boards of Chevalier guard was more light grey.

By the way, what is the market situation there for shoulder boards?

    2. The bar doesnt look like its fixed......but of course everything can be possible. I bought it from auction.

Most interesting for me is that Finnish Cross of Liberty 3rd class with red cross 1939 miniatyr. With same deal came also the real size order. That order was awarded only 48 times and mainly to doctors or persons who had something to do with hospitals and medicine during the Winter war.

The bottom right Admirals shoulder board is a fake.  It is a Soviet era  Generals/Admirals board which had the star removed and a modern day embroidery executed of an Imperial  Admirals eagle, 100% fake.  Just compare the width and quality of the shoulder board field’s embroidery and constitution to the original overcoat Major Generals board which is to the left of it, night and day difference.

Thank you for your comment. What else is good to keep in mind when looking russian shoulder boards if it's fake or not?
