Glenn, this really helps. I think I see he received the Military Merit Order (Bavaria), 1st Class with Swords (BMV1⚔) on 28 February 1918, but would Bavarian award is below it (20 February 1918)? Can you read it? Thanks!

Dave Danner wrote concerning PH3/HOH3⚔: "Prussian award came on 27.7.1917. Bavarian Genehmigung zur Annahme came later, 28.8.1917 I think."

Oh yes, I would think so too, especially regarding the date ... BUT, what is strange, the Rangliste 1926 (https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015035971137&view=1up&seq=130&q1=Prager) and 1927 (https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015035971129&view=1up&seq=123&q1=Prager) both have him with (BZ3a) , not (BZ3a⚔) ... might it somehow be a pre-war award and the date 2 September 1915 is his Erlaubnis to wear it?

Gentlemen, i read, that Albrecht Aschoff (Fahnenjunker ??.??.1916, Thorner Feld-Artillerie-Regiment Nr. 81) was promoted to Leutnant in Autumn 1917. Reserves? He received the EK II and I, maybe some more decorations? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
