Gentlemen, I am looking for a picture of GdI Rudolf Maximilian Julius von Bergmann, the father of GdI Walter Friedrich Adolf von Bergmann. Julius was a veteran of the Franco-German War and governor of Straßburg. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Thanks so much, Glenn! I had sent you a private message.
Many Greetings
Andreas
PS:
Am I seeing that right, Kronenorden 2nd Class with swords and star?
Be so kind and take a look: I have him as commander of the Deutsch Ordens-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 152 (at the beginning of WWI) not the Infanterie-Regiment von Alvensleben (6. Brandenburgisches) Nr. 52 ... am I mistaken?

Dear Glenn, as you wrote, August Ludwig Oskar Johannes von Hahn received the RAO with OL and Swords (1915) and the Crown (1918) in WWI. Do you happen to know, what else? Maybe EK II and I?
Thank you
Andreas

Right, I also have his father as Oberverwaltungsgerichtsrat. Well, he might be converted, but of Jewish descent.
This still doesn't explain why he was ennobled. I wonder whether it's got something to do with his mother's family. There were several Generals Malotki von Trzebiatowski.
The father of Helene Hahn (mother of Johannes von Hahn) Malotki von Trzebiatowski was as Oberstleutnant/Oberst commander of the 6. Pommersches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 49 in Stargard. Does anyone have a first name? Gustav August Wilhelm Malotki von Trzebiatowski? Thanks!

Hi Andreas,
no, he entered his regiment as a Fahnenjunker. His Patent would have been backdated on account of his being an Abiturient.

Glenn
Thank you, Glenn ... I am often amazed about your vast knowledge of military history!

Thank you very much, Gentlemen! I do have one more question, if I may. I read, he was promoted to Leutnant on 18 August 1911, but receiving a Patent from 20 August 1909 (according to Rangliste). Does this imply, he came from the Königlich Sächsisches Kadetten-Korps (Cadet Corps)?

I agree, gentlemen, thank you both!

Looks like a KVK. I'm assuming this guy is related to the aforementioned von Hahn?
Sorry, I do not know. Von Hahn was from Erfurt, Johannes Hahn from Oberlößnitz near Dresden. Von Hahn may be related to Eichenlaubträger Major Hans Robert Fritz „Assi“ Hahn from Gotha, not far from Erfurt.

Thank you, Solomon! Maybe War Commemorative Medal (Austria) instead of War Commemorative Medal (Hungary)? What do you think?

Glenn, once again, just great ... thank you! Could that be a KVK I. Klasse with Swords underneath?
