I would love to know more about Wilhelm Grade, who, like his brother Hans (Alter Adler Nr. 2), was an early flyer (since 1910), and chose a military career. He was born 14. Juli 1875 in Köslin, I really need his death date. Promotion dates für Fahnenjunker, Fähnrich, Leutnant and Major would be great, he became Hauptmann on 1. Oktober 1912. Before the war he had the Zentenarmedaille, Roter Adler Orden, IV. Klasse and [[Hausorden vom Weißen Falken]], Ritter II. Klasse (GSF3b/SF3b). Does anyone know when he retired? Decorations for WWI (he was leader of the Feldflieger-Abteilung)? Maybe even a picture? Thank you!

Kolonial-Denkmünze mit Spange „Deutsch-Ostafrika 1888/89“? I think, the Denkmünze was awarded beginning with 1912, he was already dead. 1874 he was "Führer der IV. Abteilung der Ersten Matrosen-Division in Kiel", here the Rangliste (also 1873) shows him with HSEH3a without swords (picture 3) ... maybe he got them later? Now the TNJft1: This is from the Rangliste 1873 (picture 2) and means Großoffizier (as a Kapitänleutnant almost immpossible), but I think this was a mistake. In the Rangliste 1874 the correction was made (he is now Korvettenkapitän), now TNJft2, the Kommandeurkreuz, which fits his rank. I do not think he got the Großkreuz, which already is abbreviated in the Ranggliste 1874 as TNJft.Großkreuz (later TNJft.Gr.-Krz.), not TNJft.1 or TNJft.2. Beginning with Ranglsite 1888 the Großkreuz is finally listeted as  TNJft1, Deinhard is still listed as TNJft2 (picture 4; still no swords for HSEH3a), which now is definitely Großoffizier (kommandeurkreuz is now TNJft3). Here is what I think: As Kapitänleutnant he received Kommandeurkreuz, later (as Konteradmiral) Großoffizierkreuz. What do you think?

Correction: "die Rangliste 1873 zeigt noch TNJft.1, die Rangliste 1874 führt Deinhard dann mit TNJft2, von 1875 bis 1887 wieder mit TNJft1, eindeutig Großoffizierkreuz. Ab der Rangliste 1888 wurde das Großkreuz (zuvor TNJft.Großkreuz, später TNJft.Gr.-Krz.) als TNJft1 geführt, Deinhard wird dabei, inzwischen Konteradmiral, nun mit TNJft2 geführt, nach wie vor Großoffizierkreuz.

He became a Dr. jur. 1907, then took over the family business (Schloss-Brauerei AG, 1938 also owner of the Donner-Brauerei AG). He became a Reserveoffizier of the Luftwaffe (maybe even before the war), first Hauptmann d. R., then Major d. R. (sorry, no dates), he fell on 25. July 1944 when bombs of the RAF fell on Stuttgart. He was Kommandeur of a Flak-Abteilung, but I couldn't find out which.

Because this von Kehler was sent to the Neumärkisches Feld-Artillerie-Regiment Nr. 54 and then to the Kriegsakademie. The von Kehler with Hauptmann (ohne Patent) from 14 September 1900 was sent from the Luftschiffer-Abteilung to the Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 39 (Perleberg). Now I am unsure who is who. What date was the Luftschiffer-von Kehler promoted to Premierleutnant? I would be thankful for your help.

Maybe someone can help me out: In this picture Wilberg is wearing the Flieger-Erinnerungsabzeichen (1914) underneath the EK I, on the other side he is wearing the Eiserner Halbmond and, I am pretty sure, the Feldpilotenabzeichen (k. u. k. Armee). But what flying badge does he wear to the right of the Flieger-Erinnerungsabzeichen? Can anyone identify it? Thanks!

Reinhold Böhm (1890--1958) from Gertlauken, Kreis Labiau (Königsberg, Ostpreußen) was a flyer before the world war, also a flight teacher and world record holder, flying 24 hours and 12 minutes from 10 to 11 July 1914 with his Albatros-Militär-Doppeldecker (Albatros B.I). This record was first broken by Charles Lindbergh 1927. Now here the question: Did he serve in WWI? Fliegertruppe? He was 24 years, so surely he was called upon?! But I cannot find any record, probably not an officer. If anyone with good records can find out anything about his life after July 1914, I would be very grateful!
