Thank you, Daniel. As an expert maybe you can clear it up a bit more: Von Kessel received the Gedenkzeichen with "FR" after Kaiser Friedrich III died? Because he seems to have been wearing it pretty early, even as Generaladjutant of Kaiser Wilhelm II. I noticed, Sigurd von Ilsemann, seeing his wedding pictures 1920, was not wearing the badge, but in later pictures he was. Do you maybe have a date? Thank you! 

Gentlemen, as I read in this forum, Oskar von Lindequist was maybe used in the Großes Hauptquartier Seiner Majestät des Kaisers und Königs at the beginning of WWI. Does anyone know, if he was reactivated? Z. D.? If yes, did he receive any awards for WWI? I hope to soon have the list of all decorations completed. Thank you!

Gentlemen, I am working on the promotion dates and all decorations for Kurt Ernst August Friedrich Freiherr von Manteuffel, but the start has already been rocky. Prussian Machine has him entering service on  19 July 1870, Wikipedia (de) states 30 August 1870. Does anyone know the correct date? Did he enter as a war volunteer or as a Fahnenjunker? Thanks! This is the only picture I can find, maybe someone has a better one:

Just a short question: Prussian Machine has his promotion to Charakter als General der Infanterie on 4.9.1913, you on 16.6.1913. Could you please confirm which date is right? About the death date, you write 21.12.1924 (like the Bundesarchiv), everywhere else it is stated as 23.12.1924. You don't happen to have a picture of his grave? Thank you! EK II and I as well as Pour le Merite in WWI. I would be very thankful for a list of his WWI decorations.

May I ask, when you write WsM do you mean the Silberne Verdienstmedaille 1892 sometimes abbreviated WsVM? Thanks! 

Gentlemen, Alter Adler and Flieger-As Barends was well decorated in WWI, but in WWII I have only read of his Spangen for the Iron Cross II (and I???). Anything else? Maybe Kriegsverdienstkreuz? Thank you!
