    1. Keep us all updated
    2. Any more updates on these? Especially the Medal for the Defence of Ukraine?
    3. Sovereign Military Order of Malta Campaign Medal with 'UKRAINE' Clasp for those volunteers who helped with refugee aid in Poland (and I presume Romania and Moldova). The Order is an oddity. It's a sovereign entity under international law so is actually its own country. Therefore this is an official national medal.
    4. Hi all, I understand there will be a coronation medal next year. Among others, I hear it'll only be the youngest soldier, the RSM and the CO of every unit getting it. Will those troops on duty at the coronation be likely to get it? And will volunteers (SJAB, Red Cross, etc) on duty get it also?
    5. Saw this and told my friends about it even before I saw this topic. A damn disgrace.
    6. It was done through Yes Theory but completely voluntary. What would the application process be?
    7. Will there be a medal that those who helped in the logistics chain for Ukraine, but didn't actually enter the country would qualify for? I helped bring humanitarian aid from Western Europe as far as Warsaw as a civilian volunteer and it'd be interesting to know if I qualify for anything!
    8. COVID-19 Medal of the Order of Malta Ambulance Corps, which is part of the Irish Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. Unlike the SMOM's COVID medal, which seems to mainly have been awarded to nurses and doctors with Malteser International, this is a medal of the Ambulance Corps only, and not an official national medal. Roughly the same status as a medal from the Red Cross or one of the Australian police or fire services medals that can't be worn on the left breast. I'm not sure the exact details of this medal yet, what the criteria are or whatnot, but given the non unique ribbon and the clasp format, I am guessing that this might be a new GSM type medal.

    10. Please share pics of rare or unusual groups if you have any!
    11. Single most unique group I've ever seen. Infantryman in WW2 in the Wehrmacht and RCAF padre in his later years.
    12. Hi all, has anyone here seen or owned any unique or rare medal combinations? I've labelled this as British medals but any unique or rare combinations are welcome! Pictured is a group from a thread on unusual groups featuring QSAs or ABOs from the Anglo-Boer War Forum. (https://www.angloboerwar.com/forum/5-medals-and-awards/6650-unusual-medal-combinations-that-include-a-qsa?start=36)
    13. Going slightly off topic, but would people be willing to share a picture of their official (government) or NGO (charity/organisation medals - AKA not sold by a for-profit company) like I have with my group above?
    14. First medal is the Order of Malta Ambulance Corps' Papal Visit 2018 Medal for those who were on duty for the visit, then the third is more of a mingy gong that all those in frontline, emergency and security services were eligible for that was made by a joint forum of reps from all the services to celebrate the first National Services Day, but my unit bought it for me and it is approved for wear so I figured I'd put it up.
    15. Finally got my own gongs mounted. Got permission to wear the OASG gong.
    16. Senior ranks didn't want to get their medals remounted is what I heard from a well placed source.
    17. After a year of hard campaigning, my COVID-19 medal proposal for the Irish Defence Forces got officially axed today. I'm gutted but I fought the good fight on it up to the highest echelons of politics and military bureaucracy.
    18. Anymore updates in the last month?
    19. That is one of the most unique medal groups I've seen in a LONG while. British, Omani, South African and Vatican.
    20. Ireland might potentially be doing one. Very divisive issue with most people saying pay and conditions for the troops should be improved instead, which I agree with, but they think that it's a choice between one or the other. In the grand scheme of things a couple of hundred thousand Euros to strike medals is very small in the grand scheme of things, and pay and conditions won't be improved overnight. Reference my above post. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta is a sovereign nation with observer status at the UN, and their medal shouldn't be lumped in with the unofficial ones.
    21. My miniature ÖASG Mission Medal with COVID-19 Clasp court-mounted. Unusual style for an Irishman but I like the looks of it. My full-size are getting swing mounted.
    22. Has anyone here got any of the aforementioned medals mounted in their groups? I know @ÖSTA does but anyone else?
