Badge with sash, star and the so called Lesser Collar (the Greater Collar was worn solely by the Sovereign). Enjoy!
Lukasz
Lukasz,
That's the one!

It's typical Soviet made badge. I've never seen a box like that, they normally come in wooden boxes.
I guess this one was custom made.

The Duke was awarded with the highest order of Bulgarian Kingdom - order of Cyril and Methodius, which was bestowed to only NINE Bulgarians (including 3 for Royal family) and 52 foreigners, mostly heads of state.
Insignia of the order are worn in the form of the sach badge as well as breast star.
I am not aware of any miniatures for the order.

Beautiful award, William. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
They look great when you hold awards in your hands.

Given the rarity of these "first-generation" awards, this may be understood.
These (type 1 and type 2) were among those offered to me in UB. But at prices even sillier than we see on Some Dealer's site.
Ed,
how much did they ask for these in UB?
More than $12K?

Here's one old Gramota from my collection.
A certificate awarded to a shockworker in the 1934 Uzbek cotton harvest. Hard cover and neat art deco design w Stalin's portrait inspiring workers on to greater successes.

Here's an interesting brass hero of socialist labour. Not original, but interesting none the less!
Years ago I had exactly the same copy, but with Soviet HSL red ribbon!

Ed,
Many thanks!
Looks like he was great figure in Mongolian revolution; his life ended so early and in a tragic way
The photo is actually a postcard.

Hallo Gentlemen
Just spotted these on German ebay, I think you would want to have a brass neck to walk around the former USSR wearing these
Ostvolker 15th German Kosak Kav' in Gold with swords 1 Class for officer.
Ostvolker 15th German Kosak Kav' in Gold without swords 1 Class for officer.
Ostvolker of the Wlassow Army. (Blue Yellow Ribbon).
Kevin in Deva
Medal/ribbon combination on the first medal makes no sense.
Yellow-blue are Ukrainian colors, while ROA on the medal is Russian phenomenon.
More appropriate colors would be blue, white or red.

Ed, Sorry - I don't know his Russian spelling.

Here's nice early Russian Civil War period photo.
I was told this is Mongolian General Magsarjav. He looks Mongolian to me, but wears RKKA uniform.
Does anyone have any info on this person?

Now, when I look closer - suspension appears to be heavily patinated, while medal itself has no patina at all. Should there be such contrast?

Josef,
would it be too much to ask to get a scan of the page where these awards are listed?
Many thanks,

I know, I know....
Thanks, and bravo for your estimate (type of order + date).
Cheers.
Ch.
I would start with major dealer web sites, then check serial numbers list here on GMIC.

That's how pics came from the seller.
I am not sure why would he send pics from two different medals.

Any more opinions about Gold Soyombo medal? Does anyone else think it's a suspect?
