The Queen's Police Medal (QPM) Instituted in 1952 Awarded to police officers in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth of Nations, for gallantry or distinguished service. Recipients may use the post-nominal letters "QPM", although the right to use these was only granted officially on 20 July 1969. The ribbons of both medals in the picture was switched and should be changed. The ribbon on the first picture is correct.

Police Good Service Medal (1951) Instituted in 1951 Awarded to policemen of non-commisioned rank who had served for not less than 18 years with an irreproachable character or had performed service of a particularly gallant or distinguised character. In the event of the award being made for service of an especially gallantry character, a bar, bearing the words "MERIT - VERDIENSTE" was attached to the ribbon; whilst further bars could be added to denote subsequent acts of such a character.

2 Sets of black and white flashes for the OC and RSM of the South African Special Forces School were specially made for them to be worn on a colour parade op 27 November 2017. At that stage the second set of insignia maroon and white were still in use by all the SA Special Forces. They only changed back to the black and white insignia between 2021 and 2022. A very unique and scarce set.

The enamel is like my silver cross Here is a complete set of all Venda Defence Force (VDF) Awards As a matter of interest, all these medals were issued during the existence of the VDF. Venda Defence Force General Service Medal (1985-94) Awarded for service in defence of Venda or in the prevention or suppression of terrorism. A circular bronze medal depicting two crossed battle-axes in front of a traditional drum (obverse) and the Venda coat of arms (reverse). Instituted with effect from 1 January 1985 in terms of a Warrant signed by President PR Mphephu on 8 February 1985. Government Notice No. 9 in the Republic of Venda Government Gazette, Vol. 13, No. 23 dated 22 March 1985. Forty-six (46) of these medals were awarded.

A circular silver medal displaying the letter V and two interlaced rings (obverse) and "For Distinguished Service - Kha u Fulufhedzea Mushumeni" (reverse). Instituted with effect from 1 January 1985 in terms of a Warrant signed by President PR Mphephu on 19 March 1985. Government Notice No. 22 in the Republic of Venda Government Gazette, Vol. 13, No. 50 dated 26 April 1985. Twenty seven (27) of these decorations were awarded.
