Hi Paul, Some caps were made to have a removable white and blue top, but the majority of blue tops are built as that, and the white tops are normally made with a white removable top to facilitate cleaning, and thus the insignia is generally removable as well. I have an officer white top with sewn insignia, I will dig that out and show it today too. I believe Gerard Stetzelberger (Relic Hunter) had a cap with removable and interchangeable blue and white top for sale recently, but they are scarce. Bob
Great shots Johnsy, I work with an ex Leopard driver and gunner, I will show them your photos, will make their day! (and it still upsets them that I, as a member of the Signals Corps, was one of the original tank trials mob way back in 1972, and yes I drove the beasts too, under tutilage from the black beret guys of course). Bob
The things I find on the internet, here is a 4 pocket tunic, maybe it is his, .. Loved the stupid show when I was a kid, so had to throw this in here... sorry!! Bob
And the last shot of it. Tunic doesn't have a makers lable, but does have a name tag sewn into it at the base of the collar, and that name is for Oberst von Maltzahn, but I can't say if the tag is 100% original to the tunic or not, I will dig up a photo of the name tag and add that a bit further on if anyone is interested. Hope you like the photos, Cheers Bob
