Excellent shot from the cockpit of an air-sea rescue Junkers Ju-52, affectionately known by the Germans as Tante Ju (Auntie Ju) and Iron Annie by the Allies. Notice the all-white colour scheme and the oversize red cross markings, which would hopefully stop it being shot down by the enemy. Of interest, when Berlin's famous Templehof airport closed on 30.10.2008, the last two planes to take off were a Douglas DC-3 and a Junkers Ju-52, arguably the two best medium transport aircraft of the war.
