    2. Hi Stogie, no problem - it is one of my human rights to have bad luck, too.... I could need some more valium or morphine... but it is hard to write with one hand and takes along time... at the moment the arm is fixed and next week I will come under the knife.... Now I have a bit time to show some more things from my collection to all of you... I will start a new topic with some of my miniature chains - enjoy!!! Heiko
    3. ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH?.. in hospital with a broken shoulder Next week they are going to get my arm repaired, at the moment I am sitting in the chair like a fixstar: no way to move and shining bright from all the drugs?. But back to topic?. The history of Austrian medals and awards is the big white gap in my knowledge ? it`s a shame, I know? I can`t help you with this Austrian medal problem but I can share some german colonial groups with Austrian medals on it if you like? It can take a while, I have to wait for the next possibility to move a bit , I hope in 2 hours the mega gagaland is gone and I can have some clear thinkings for a moment? Heiko
    4. Christophe, your order is too high for this little vet bar... I think here is the right one, cross from the W?rttemberg Vet`s organization - really nice Heiko
    5. Rick, I could get some more information on the bar... the backing material is RED and without a maker. Someone in the family, maybe the son of the owner has been a priest or something like that and the bar comes originally from the area of munich (M?nchen)... that`s all I could get... Heiko
    6. Hello all (especially the evil one...) maybe someone can help me with this beautifull but unfortunately a little bit wrecked medal bar... which RAO class is missing? what is the light-blue ribbon 4th from last (W?rttemberg or foreign..) ? what is the second ribbon from last? and of course... who was the owner??? thanks for all help, unfortunately this is the only photo I can offer at the moment... best wishes Heiko
    7. We can all hope that there will not appear a third twin on the scene sometime... hhhmmmmmmm..... but if he ownes the missing rank lists of the other two evil ones - he will be very welcome Heiko (not too evil at all...)

Right, it is the bar of Auti Altvater who was a minesweeper during ww1, now I am not a naval expert for ww1 and I do not know where in the northsea and eastsea the minefields were.... it is hard to get information about navy officers during ww1, maybe some navy experts have more facts about Altvater in ww1...
