did you see the prices he got for the last ones Stogie? unbelievable!!! I can`t understand that people without knowledge of the period and the theme "orders and decorations" spend so much money on really easy fakes. Always again impossible combinations and always again he makes a lot of money with them.... Heiko

here are some of my moons, the one on the top is your ebay-moon Stogie which deceided to share my collection, very good opinion in my eyes... The maker is not to see on the picture, it is not Schneider Wein, but our old friends from the high class order society of Austria "Br?der Schneider Wien" (Schneider Brothers Vienna) - I haven`t had a moon of that maker before... very rare!!!! It is a very good quality work, unfortunately damaged, but still good to look at... Heiko

Rick, sorry that I can`t make better pictures for you, maybe someone has a better camera for me... I think even you will know that you have the right one when you have it - the words on the reverse are in german together with the german eagle... "Zur Erinnerung an den Besuch seiner Majest?t des deutschen Kaisers Wilhelm II bei seiner Majest?t dem Kaiser der Osmanen Abdul Hamid Khan II in Constantinopel 2.November 1889" so, no way to get the "pastry chef medal"... I would say it is copper Heiko

Any ideas on this ribbon bar?
HeikoGrusdat replied to Stogieman's topic in Rest of the World: Militaria & History
Hi Rick, I am on the same way... it is the typical austrian navy style, overlapping ribbons and a reverse to sew on uniform. I have some bars like this from austria - but I am a bit confused with this ribbons on your bar, sorry but no idea of the awards... Heiko -
Rick, here are some mini clasps, sorry for the poor quality, but my camera is not the best.... one more thing to say... the clasps on your ribbon bar are wonderful and 100% original, but they can`t be together on one bar.... Peking and Tientsin are clasps that were ONLY for the navy, Peking only for the Gesandtschaftswache of the embassy and Tientsin for the crews of the 6 ships there and units of the 3.seebataillon. Huolu is a bar only for the infanterie, given to units of the 1. + 2. east asiatic infanterie brigade.... but nevertheless I love them Heiko

Tony, I don`t know exactly how many I have, it is a bit chaotic.... too many types and reverses - and I need one of each!!!! My main collection area are the german colonies with their great medal bars and (hrrrrghhh) campaign bars again - some more to collect and these are the most expensive ones.... I will show some next days. Heiko
