    1. Hi Detlef , You always find very interesting bars !

The combo looks alright to me, quite unusual but possible .

The last medal should be in third place , its the order of Estonian home guard if I´m correct and the medal missing in last place

should be Finnish Com medal 1918.

But if that Liberty Cross 2nd class is real  Buy it !

    2. I know it´s a small and quite blurry pic, but I thought I should share it with you anyway.

The photo shows a young Sailor probably with his mother, I think he is a Matrosengefreiter Artillery ?

and ha has been in some action .....

EK II , EK I (cant be very often a ordinary seaman got an EK I ? ) Wound badge , Minesweeper Badge ,

High Seas Badge. And I think I can see a Shooting cord also on his left shoulder.

I wonder what ship he was on  a survivor from Bismarck :speechless1: ?? Well he could be from almost any surface ship I suppose but the thought is thrilling at least. Nothing written on the back so we will never know the story behind this forgotten soldier, another mystery photo in my collection ......

    3. This is my latest object to my collection , and what a wonderful Order

I really think these could compete with imperial German in Quality

Liberty Cross 3rd Class 1939 for non combat , they are really rare to find and the numbers awarded is FEW believe me

This is the nicest I have seen ever its like new , given to a Swedish who probably put it in a drawer 1939 and looked at it from time to time .....

    4. And here is a tragic story ....

Albrecht Simmerling in IR 92 sent this Photo of himself in full uniform to his friend Walter van Hus 30th Sept 1914 , he was then a Kriegsfreiwilliger and maybe he saw the war as an adventure or just something that had to be a part of.

He didn´t last long February 5th 1915 he was listed as KIA :( another young man buried in the mud of Flandern Fields.....

    5. Hi Troy, thats some mixed items there Troy ;)

Minefield flag - Dosen´t look lika the real ones I seen ?

The Viking ring smell all bad to me

" Uboat-badge " ?? never seen one, but dosnt look like anything genuine WWII to me

Navy observers badge - no don´t think so , no

Hansa Cross - Looks completely Genuine to me

And the Zeppelin Badge Crew badge ? In my humble opinion its a fake/fantasy piece but I have seen theese sold for 100s $

    6. :jumping:

      Fantastic Christophe,

Nice to have him Id´d , who was the Officer from Brunswick ?

Thats the first Photo I have with anyone with a Waldeck Pyrmont award. Von Joeden doesn´t look to be a guy who smiles to often....

:off topic: There is a saying in Sweden that the Swedish General von Döbeln only laughed twice in his life, once when he saw the Swedish fortress Waxholm and second when hes mother in law died......
