My first Saxon Lifesaving medal ribbonbar
I will post better pic when I get it, I just have a question
The second award I took as a Brunswick BUT
is there any possibility that it is a Saxon-Altenburg Merit Cross without swords ?
Have a nice weekend all and my lots of Imperial awards fall on you (old local saying in Sweden)

As I just LOOOOOVE NC ribbon bars and NC medals bars I couldn?t resist this one
I guess it is an early 1914 ex by the making of the bar?
I wonder how many of theese medals on NC ribbons there are out there ?

Hi,
Let me present VzFw Albert Badicke from Mecklenburg.
He was in Inf Rgt 24 2 Masch Gewehr Komp and got the Mecklenburhg MeritCross II class May 15 1918 also got EK II
When I was looking for info I found out that a General in WW II from Mecklenburg was in the same regiment and maybe in the same Company ??
Gen d Inf Martin Gareis RK winner 1943 , HohenZollern, MVK II , MVK I among other awards.
He joined the Machine gun comp Inf Rgt 24 in 1914 and in 1915 he was Com of the Machine GC ( 1st ?)
I wonder if Albert Badicke also continued service in WW II ?

Hi all, theese just arrived in the mail, I have no doubt they are genuine, they look, smell and feels like old 1920s bars
But still at least one of them make me
What has this saxon soldier been awrded with and how has he mounted his awards ......
If I put the bar normally on the table then the EK is last
OK, a naughty Saxon
But then the Green-White-Green-White-Green-white comes first , and what is that ! Saxon Altenburg ? Saxon DA ???
Hmmm Then a FA medal and What ??? + the EK at last place .
Or if I put the bar with preuss prec it goes EK - ??? High Saxon order - FA - ??
Please help me out of my misery
What is it ?

Wow ! That was really bad news , if they are starting faking boxes worth almost nothing what will they do next
Maybe this is the beginning of the end of Bulgarian awards collecting?
As interest raises everything will be like Soviet and Tr items , all crap and fakes
How does a real box look like?
And even more scary is the fact that even respected dealers now sell fakes
As usual you cant trust no one...
Thanks William

Really a nice uniform , now I have to look for something to read about about Royal Bavarian Court Musicians
The collectors way is loong, narrow and unpredictably

Got this card yesterday, thought it looked like a nice Navy Imperial Uniform
But now when I look closer I am not so sure ? What in heavens name is he wearing?
There is crown on his buttons , and a veru nice sword in his lap but is he German at all?
Some written on the back , Meinen Leiber Bulzer ???
Anyone out there who could solve this mystery ?

:speechless:
Yes Madness but he will laugh all the way to the bank..... right now over 1400 Euro , seems that a lot of collectors just want more things
never mind how they are offered
This bar is ruined and will never be authentic again

Thanks all for your help, after many hours of trying to read old German names and very very very seldom finding anything its feel like christmas when
you actually can read something and get down to 5-6 candidates
And that?s probably as close as I ever will get to this Peter Watt, its sad when you realize that most of the other soldiers whose ribbon bars I collect
got home again and lived at least into the 1930s but all of the "Penny" recivers didn?t......
Thank you again for all help and all the best from Sweden

This certificate is to Senior Cavalry Private Kastumura and is dated 1st April 1906. This means it is an award for the Russo Japanese War. Now that you have started on the slippery slope of collecting Japanese certificates there are loads more for you to get !
Cheers,
Paul
Thanks Paul , You put me over the edge when I bought your book " In the name of a Living God" (which I can recommend to all)
Now I am going down down down
