Hi Kev,
Have you posted your military medals yet?

Larry,
Those are some unseen(by me) uniform variants. Thank you for sharing them. I wonder what color the piping around the collar tabs is? Red is railway. I wonder if tram/street cars had a specific color?

Surprisingly beautiful award. Esp since it was designed and manufactured there in Cuba.

So completely original, but awarded much later. How long were these official medals actually manufactored? 1980s?

RAD Administration. They had the dark green waffenfarbe. RAD Medical was cornflower blue, and RAD Legal was powder blue. All other RAD Ranks used the black waffenfarbe.
Landezollbeamte officer boards had dark green flecks in the braid. RAD always had black flecks in the braid.

Did they have "local" village/township police back then or were they all standardized forces, like during the TR era?

"Period" mistakes are not uncommon, even in Western medal bars. I think you have an awesome example Larry.

What is your earliest GCM? What ships? I'd love to see your collection sometime.

Asphyxia- Several possible really bad reasons for this even months after a significant head injury.

Rusty, I am very impressed with your array of Middle Eastern Awards. I love the beautiful enameling and unique designs they implement in their awards. Each one is a beautiful piece of art. Thank you for sharing.

Very interesting history. I am glad to see that they at least restored his military honors/awards after his time served.

How much is the base award worth?

I find myself wanting one of these lower grade medals! I bet they are super expensive. I will have to look into them. Thank you all for the detailed information.

LOL. Yeah- 1967 was a bad one, but they all ended negatively for Egypt in the end.

Is the terrain somewhere particular? How can you tell?

I am kinda new to British medals. What do IGS and LSGC stand for?

I think that Hungarian awards, especially those post war items, are under appreciated/valued. I like their uniqueness and use of enamel.
What is the 1949 medal for?

I hope that more can be learned about this couple. Is there anything written on the back?

While I don't have a ribbon, all I have is a useless comment... This has to be one of the most beautiful of the Middle Eastern awards I've seen. Was it a bravery award, like our Congressional Medal of Honor? Or was it a political sort of recognition?
