The helmet itself is fine - it looks to be a fiberhelm by the looks of it.? As for the shields, they, too could be original, but of course it would be impossible to tell when they were attached.? There is photographic evidence of shields being worn on paradehelms - I think there is a famous photo of Rommel with one...
Don
Rommel... that would be something if it was...
How is the shield attached? Are there prongs that go through the fiber shell? If so, can you post a photo of this(if it is even possible with the liner present).

Hi Eduardo,
That is a very focused collection of a relatively obsure branch. That is the only KM Coastal Arty Admiral's Tunic I have ever seen in a collection!
You do have some great stuff!

I feel that the best all around Assualt Rifle is the M16 for it's accuracy, lack of recoil, the three round bust(for controlled bursts of auto), and weight.
We in the Coast Guard are getting away from the Beretta as well. We are moving toward the Sig .40(I thought that all of the branches were going to that as well)

EREL leather stamp.
Thanks !
I have never seen anything like it. It looks like the emblems from one of those tropical pith helmets.
I thought that the parade helmets used the standard Decals and the only real difference is that the helmet itself was made of a lighter material such as aluminum.
I am no expert, I am only going off what I have read and seen in the past. Maybe someone with more insight can step in with some clarification.

A nice collection paul.I keep a couple of fakes in my cases to remind myself
to do more homework when I buy.
don
I thought about doing that too... But I could not bear to look at them
I was able to sell them back to the person I bought them from for most of what I paid. Luckily

Agh! Yes, with no initials, the ONLY clue for the deputy commander is "Guards" with his rank.
That is an awesome set! Are the shoulder boards actually his?

I can't quite make out the language of the outer ring-- it's not Russian, so one of the other "official" Republics of the time inside the USSR. One word of Cyrillic shows on the inner line: "Okrug" or "District" so that identified whicever of then then dozen or so "Military Districts" this was from.

Anybody recognize what language this is, for the issuing Republic? I've never seen any issued except in Russian.

Thanks for sharing Paul, too bad about the removals but you still have a solid core collection.
I had rather get rid of fakes than to have them polluting my collection!
I sold them back to the person I bought them from... LOL as originals!

The bar with the 10 and 15 year NSDAP long service devices is a nice, rather uncommon, one.
Thank you!
I like it a lot too... even though the ribbons are out of order
Thank you for the compliments!
