    1. Hello Richard. When I have the breast star in my hand, I will take a lot of detailed photos so that all can inspect it closely. Thanks. Linas
    2. Hello Jonas. It is definitely a possibility. I will look at your link. Thank you for your help. Linas
    3. Gentlemen - absolutely FANTASTIC! Thank you for all the input. Take care. Linas
    4. Hello Hugh. I am ashamed to say that I have never used the OMSA database. Linas
    5. Hello Kevin. It is 2 and 3/8th inches across or 60 millimeters. Looks like my "golden treasure" isn't too golden after all. Thank you for your input Kevin. Linas
    6. As with my last message, I appreciate your efforts Hugh. It clearly HAS to be South East Asia, but what country, what time period, and for what purpose are what I really would like to know. I paid a pretty penny for it, so I hope you, or others, can come up with something. Thanks again. Tkae care. Linas
    7. Thanks Hugh. I really want to find out about this. I think it's a beauty. I honestly appreciate you going "on the hunt." Take care. Linas
    8. Thanks Kevin with your input. Not to offend, but I hope you are incorrect. I'm not into costume jewelry. But if that's what it is, than so be it. Do you think it is from a Nordic country? Any ideas? Also, when you say "manufacture in what appears to be pot metal" - what do you mean? I am not familiar with this? Please let me know Kevin. Thanks. Linas
    9. Hello. I added some more photos on my PhotoBucket album. I don't know if this will help due to reduction in resolution when I increase the size. I do not have it in my possession yet, so I have to use the photos the seller provided. Hope it helps. Here is the PhotoBucket link again: http://s752.photobucket.com/albums/xx168/linasl/Possible%20Thailand%20Breast%20Star/ Thanks. Linas
    10. Greetings Everybody. I recently bought a beautiful Breast Star that I think is from Thailand - but I can easily be wrong. I though am quite confident it is of South East Asia in origin. It resembles some type of military breast star, or possibly some association medal, or is it just a fantasy piece. I really do not know. If you have any thoughts, please let me know. I have attached a low resolution medal on this post, but have high-resolution photos on PhotoBucket, if you follow this link: http://s752.photobuc...0Breast%20Star/ Any information would be useful. Thank you. Linas
    11. Greetings Everybody. I recently bought a Saddam-era (I think) Iraqi medal, but cannot identify it. If you have any thoughts, please let me know. I have attached a low resolution medal on this post, but have high-resolution photos on PhotoBucket, if you follow this link: http://s752.photobuc...al%20in%20Case/ Any information would be useful. Thank you. Linas
    12. Hello Everybody. I just bought a French Colonial North Africa insignia. I have seen it before, but cannot identify it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I attached a low resolution photo on this post, but I have high-reolution photos on PhotoBucket, if you follow this link: http://s752.photobuc...nch%20Insignia/ All input is welcome. Take care. Linas
    13. Greetings Everybody. I recently bought a curious medal on an on-line auction in either Denmark, Sweden, or Norway - I do not remember. It resembles some type of military medal, or possibly some association medal, or is it just a fantasy piece. I really do not know. If you have any thoughts, please let me know. I did not attached a low resolution medal on this post because I ried everything to reduce it size, but never made it. But I have high-resolution photos on PhotoBucket, if you follow this link: http://s752.photobuc...antasy%20Medal/ Any information would be useful. Thank you. Linas
    14. Hello Everybody. I recently purchased a Danish Medal, but I am not able to identify it. Is it military or Civil? Any information you can provide would be great. I attached a low resolution image to this medal, but I have two high-definition on PhotoBucket, if you follow this link: http://s752.photobuc...Danish%20Medal/ I appreciate any information you can give me. Take care. Linas
    15. WOW! Thank yuo very much for the information. Simply fantastic! Linas
    16. Hello Lucasz and everyone else. I hope this is OK regarding the rules of this forum. The Breast Star we have been discussing is now on eBay, with a Start Price of $9.99, and no reserve. You can find it here: XRARE Polish Resistance in France Merit BREAST STAR - 190399337798 Or its URL is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190399337798&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT Hope you enjoy. Take care. Linas
    17. Hello Lukasz. Just so I understand, this award was created and distributed by Polish Military in exile in France? If yes, what would my Breast Star have been awarded for, given that it is either the 1st or 2nd highest award in this grouping? Also, to whom would it be awarded - other Polish pre-Communist military or foreigners, or both? Any additional help would be really appreciated. Thank you. Linas
    18. Hello Lukasz. I just uploaded to magified photos of the hallmark on the reverse, and put them on my following PhotoBucket album: http://s752.photobucket.com/albums/xx168/linasl/Poland%20Breast%20Star/ This is the best I could magnify. Can you identify the maker? Thanks. Linas
    19. Hello again Lukasz. If the Breast Star was introduced in the the 1980s, was this during the Communist era (PRL, I think - right?), or after? Also, I plan to put this on eBay in about a month. But, before I do that, are YOU interested? If yes, please feel free to make an offer. OK? Take care. Linas PS: mintmark will be sent shortly.
    20. Wow Lukasz, Great information! I will try to get a close-up photo of the hallmark. And of course you can use this photo on your website - but only credit it to "Linas L" - OK? Question: is there any way to determine if this Star was attached to the Grand Cross or Grand Commander? Thanks again Lukasz. Linas
    21. I have a Polish Breast Star that I paid handsomely for. It is definitely not too old. I have attached a low-resolution photo to this posting, but have htree high-resolution photos on PhotoBucket, by following this link: http://s752.photobuc...0Breast%20Star/ I have several questions. 1. is it a REAL Polish Breast Star or a "fantasy" piece? 2. if yes, what is it called? 3. if yes, what is/was it awarded for (military/civil)? 4. if yes, from which era (post-WW1, communist, post-1990)? 5. if yes, what do you think it is worth? It is 90 mm in diameter and has a small "square" hallmark on the reverse pin. Any help you can provide would be great. Thank you. Linas
    22. Greetings Ulsterman. There are no markings on the reverse. Linas
