Bill I was thinking and worrying about my comments last night in my sleep and it came to me that these photos where posted along time ago before the thought of the book came up, I offer my sincere appoligies, I put it all down to age, lack of sleep and the presure of court proceeding in trying to get contact with my dear young children who my ex wife refuses to let me see, even though I have a right to see them.

Bill Not very happy that you posted my pictures that I intended to use in my book on police insignia when I asked you not to share the photos

Thanks to all that have replied, great to hear the appreciation.
CCJ the dark red piping is for the Gemeinde police that was absorbed into the schupo in 1940 and became green piping.

I have also just noticed that some of the guys have a darker collar than others, the ones without dark collars have the darker collar patches. Here is the other photo, the cufftitle lettering seems to be too long for werkschutz, very interesting.

Did not know if to post this here or in the police forum. Just got these two great photos in of werkschutz as can be seen from the cap insignia, what is fantastic about this photo is the uniforms, which I have never seen before, the apparent rank stripes on the arms much like the British and American sergeants stripes. The collar patches which on close-up clearly shows the winged propeller and two different shaded suggesting different branches, a cufftitle is also worn but the letting is not legible, one last point is the colour of the centre band of the peaked caps, is it hard to imagine that this could be the same colour as the collar patches? Over the years the only colour collar patches that I have seen with winged propellers has been pale blue, could the cap centre band colour be the same pale blue. One other item is the round arm badge on the man at far right, I first thought this may have been for transport Speer, but I guess it?s for some aircraft factory.
