    1. This is a chest badge for the Rescue Police. It comes in three sizes and wore on the left chest. 13. Mervyn and Paul R, Thanks for the comments guys! I'm still above ground so that is the main thing. Our hot weather finally broke up here in Minnesota. We had 39 days of temperatures over 85 degrees and three of them were over 100. I know that is not "hot" in some places or countries but for Minnesota , it's warm. We have had a lot of humidity to go with it. Bob

    15. First up is a 2011, Civil Defence Directorate, EOD and Fire Rescue Arm Large Glazed Badge with Arc. 21. Bill, It appears that you have a planchet for a North Vietnamese Victory Decoration and a ribbon for the National Liberation Front on both the samples shown which is incorrect. If you will look in the South East and East Asia section on page 4, I have a topic called North Vietnamese Badges and Medals and on page 2 in this topic, you will see one sample of the Decoration you have. If you find the correct ribbon, all you would have to do is change the ribbon for it to be correct. Edward J Emering's book "Orders, Decorations and Badges of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam" is also a very good reference. I hope this helps you out. Bob
    22. Paul, I haven't found any yet. Bob
    23. I picked up this patch at the military show I was at the weekend of April, 21-22. I thought it was possibly for the Red Crescent Society but found out later it was for the Algerian Municipal Police. It is 3-1/2 in. wide and 4-1/4 in. high. The pictures show the front and back. I do not have any idea when this patch was used or if it is still being used. If anyone has more information, please post. Bob
