    3. This is a gold colored, numbered, Independence Freedom Medal of the People's Republic of China. It also has the chest ribbon and the award packet with matching number to the medal. This medal is pictured on page 57, number 548 of the book "Illustrated Collection of Badges in the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Museum" . I do not know any more about this medal so if anyone has more information, please post. Thank you . Bob

    12. This is a Chinese made 2010, Special Forces Chest Wing made for the Iraqi's. It is 3-1/2 in. wide and 1-3/16 in. high. There are no markings on the reverse and it has the spring pin fastener. The parachute seems to be oversized compared to the wings. It almost makes it look "fat". Bob

    15. These is the second Silver Coinage Set of the USSR from 1924-1931. The set includes a 1 Rouble, 10, 15, 20, and a 50 Kopeks coin. The reverse has the Hammer and Sickle and other designs. Bob

    17. This is a North Korean Fatherland Liberation War Commemorative Medal, 1953. It was instituted in August, 1953 to mark what the North Korean Government believed was a victory in the Korean War. The Korean War is known as the Fatherland Liberation War in North Korea. It was awarded to Military and civilians who had participated in the war. The medal is 3-1/8 in. high and the planchet is 1-7/16 in. diameter. Bob
    18. These are Iraqi Air Force Brigadier General who has completed the Officer Staff College shoulder boards. They were made by the Iraqi Official Military Sewing Factory. Many collectors who first see these think they were "German Made". Bob
    19. This is a Army Lieutenant Colonel who has completed the Officer Staff College, gilt on green shoulder board made by the Iraqi Official Military Sewing Factory. Still very good quality and velvety wide red stripe. Bob

    22. I have been following the above posts and have a few pictures of my own to post. On the original Iraqi Military Forum, http://z8.invisionfree.com/Iraq_militaria_forum/index.php? we have been tossing the "made in Germany" shoulder board question around and and haven't come up with a definite answer. Probably more questions than answers. It seems if a shoulder board is well made, it automatically gets the title "German Made". Germany didn't mark or add a tag to say they were made in Germany which adds to the confusion. I will be posting some SB's that are very well made and were made by the the Iraqi Official Military Sewing Factory and also some made by the same company that aren't very well constructed. The first SB is German Made and has a black plastic sewn in to the inside of the SB. Some only have a thin leather sewn inside. This SB is for a Brigadier General that has completed the Staff Officer College (red stripe on board). Bob
    23. The Security of the Fatherland Decoration was established August, 1985 and was awarded to Government Officials, PAVN members and Security Personnel with more than 25 years of service. It is only awarded in one class. The inscription on the bottom says "security of the Fatherland". It is made of aluminum and the planchet is 1-3/4 in. from point to point. Bob
    24. The Banner of Resolution for Victory Decoration was awarded for service of 25 or more years in the PAVN. It was only awarded in one class and was established in October, 1984. The planchet is made of aluminum and is 1-1/2 in. diameter. Bob
    25. KPR Friendship Decoration and chest ribbon. It is made of brass and the planchet is 1-5/8 in. from point to point. This is not a North Vietnamese Award but an award from the Kampuchean People's Republic (KPR) to the People's Army of Vietnam for friendship to the KPR. Kampuchea was formerly known as Cambodia. Bob
