To go with the para helmet is an Iraqi produced copy of the Dennison Smock. This jump jacket has all insignia and is complete with a beavertail. It is Iraqi marked with the Jihm and H.H.D. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127897758615.jpg.jpg]http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127897770205.jpg.jpg]

This is perhaps the gaudiest uniform in the Iraqi Army. It is the tunic of the Army Band, it was so shockingly ugly I forgot to ship the trousers http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127897738546.jpg.jpg]

Here is the Polish/East German model paratroop helmet that has the Iraqi Army jihm and other markings on the inside and some tan very thin muzlin type scrim in the netting. This helmet bears a date of 1980 and was just obtained through a friend in Iraq. Hopefully more to come soon. . http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127897716647.jpg.jpg]

I will be transferring pictures to this computer and will add many more pieces from my collection soon. I am currently in the process of buying a new home so many items have to be unpacked and photographed. As I said above, it is a work in progress. Thank you for looking. Scott.

Does anyone have a picture of a Iraqi Para helmet
2xvetran replied to perce's topic in Middle East & Arab States
Here it is! Iraqi Paras or SF in the 1980-88 war with Iran. Note the jump wings on the M80 helmets. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127891190777.jpg.jpg] -
This is a strange helmet as it has little or no protective value. It was originally white and painted over in tan. On the inside is an attached gauze roll and a small seahorse marking molded into the shell. It has Arabic script inside and could possibly be an oil workers helmet that was used as this person was pressed into service. I would love to know the origin of the helmet maker. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-12789112381.jpg.jpg]http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127891129765.jpg.jpg]http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127891135023.jpg.jpg]
