    1. That's a good decision, para stuff is generally a safe bet to just stash away for a "rainy" day. Scott.
    2. Definetly a signal badge on that hat Bob. I guess even the commandos had to communicate though, just not the Thunder style badge like you sent me. Scott.
    3. Me too Paul, I got the Iraq Campaign Medal because my unit was extended past our original orders on two occasions. I think this was an anomaly as most who served in 2003-2004 got the Global war on Terror Expeditionary Medal and later had to choose between that or the new Iraq Campaign Medal when it was approved. During Desert Storm my unit was presented with the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal while we were in Saudi Arabia as part of Operation Desert Shield. When we returned home we were given the new Southwest Asia Service Medal for Desert Storm. Scott.
    4. To kill several birds with one stone... The top row right, The Southwest Asia Service Medal for 1990-91 Gulf War. Bottom row left, The Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, for OIF and OEF, then the Iraq Campaign Medal for OIF. Scott.
    5. This type was approved by certain states National Guard for service during the 1990-91 Gulf War. Scott.
    6. Fantastic model, I would have loved to have displayed this with my old Japanese collection. Great work and superb eye for detail! Scott.
    7. I saw this listing too. I didn't like the mounting pin on the back, doesn't resemble any of the older Iraqi styles. Perhaps it is something from the new Army but the parachute is quite a bit different from any other that you see in use in Iraq. Maybe Chris (zvezdah1) would know more? Scott.
    8. Here are the wings from the 1970s-80s, they are very similar to the Kingdom set in your picture. Scott.
    9. The reverse of the para wings. Scott.
    10. Here is a nice set o well used bullion Iraqi Para wings from the 70s-80s. These can be seen in use during the Iran-Iraq war on blumentarn style jump smocks that the Iraqi's were using. There is a good shot of them in the "Camoflage Uniforms of the Middle East" book. Scott.
    11. Here is a blurry shot of the back of the generals gordets. Scott.
    12. Thanks Lorenzo, I need to update that photo but I am in the process of moving to the new house. Take care in Iraq and I hope all is going well for you. Stay safe and Merry Christmas to you and all of your unit. Scott.
    13. This set is for a General and is a new arrival. Scott.
    14. Here are some various sets of senior officer gordets. There are two shades, red and maroon. One is for Army and the other for Republican Guard. Scott.
    15. Here are a few sets of iraqi Air Force dress boards. Scott.
    16. Here is the back side showing the cotter pin style mounting device. Scott.
    17. I thought this would be a good thread to show my Iraqi Navy anchor device. It is stamped gilt and very well detailed and is 1 1/2" high. I am not sure if it is a hat/beret insignia or for the collars on a dress uniform. Any info would be appreciated. Scott.
    18. Very neat patch Bob, I would like to know if something like this existed before 2003? Scott.
    19. Have to agree with Paul on this one Bob, neat medal but they have spared every expense. Scott.
    20. Thanks for the info Hugh, I saw that three was Captain so assumed that this was a Lt. Scott.
    21. Thanks Ed, very interesting site. Too bad you have to inquire about prices for nearly everything, that is a big turn off for me... Scott.
    22. Here is the uniform, you can see that the trousers have material added to make the length a couple of inches longer. It is a very nice set but the vet removed all of his personal insignia... Scott.
