Hi Chris,
yes they are Crimean period Orders. The one on the left is the 5th class. The other one is most probably 4th Class.

Hi,
As indicated by Gordon when you first joined GMIC some time ago there is a regulation for selling items.
One can not sell items using the FORUMs, you have to sell them on the sales section of the Forum.
Best wishes

Forgot to mention, the silver imtiyaz is a German made one, not original and the gold one not original also IMHO.

Hi Gordon,
Yes one can wear both silver and gold Imtiyaz and silver and gold Liyakat at the same time. First you get the silver then gold. In this bar 1,5,6,7 could be awarded at the same period together, what about 2,3, and 4 .
Best wishes

This is a beautiful piece, as Paul says it is an original period item made in France.

AH 1332 November 30th 1913 to November 19 1914 (and 1332 is the date on the clasp)
AH 1337 October 7 1918 to September 30 1918 by which time Turkey was kaput
Paul
I totally agree with Claudius and Paul the date is 1332 (Hijri) on the clasp which corresponds to : 1914.
With the amendments made on the Imtiyaz Medal Regulation Article 9 and Liyakat Medal Regulation Article 6 on November 16, 1914, attaching crossed saber clasps were allowed on the ribbons of these Medals. Clasps showing the names of the campaigns on the ribbons were also permitted.
And it is (Suez) Canal (KANAL)

My new TWM

The medal looks OK but the pin might have been replaced, usually these types have broader pins.

Hi Demir,
Sorry to put this here, but I see you are the host on Turkish orders. I have a question on the order of the Medjidie that I posted in the Turkish section, perhaps you can take a look. thanks, Pieter
Hello Pieter,
I am sorry to inform you that I don't know any supplier of this kind.
On the other hand, honestly, I don't think that we could find a firm which has the original velvet for these boxes.
With my best wishes
Demir

Named Imtiaz Ottoman silver medal
in Turkey
Posted
Yes there are records in the Ottoman Archives in Istanbul but there are several books and one has to go through the books. The problem is they were written in Arabic alphabet and one need to know that. Also, the date on this Medal is the Occupation of Istanbul by the Allied forces 13.11.1918. The name Grazia (thanks in Italian) and the date is interestind. There is another point, that space is allocated for the names not a name and a date. Especially after the occupation the Allied army people had access to everything and there was a puppet Government.
