    4. Just when I was ready to give up on Ebay, I scored this beautiful flying helmet. It's in great condition!!! Now I just need goggles to finish it up.....if any of you have any for sale/trade...let me know....Have a look at the helmet....it even came with a piece of parachute that is "said" to have come with the helmet originally.....who knows! (The parachute is under the helmet....). Comments always appreciated! Thanks gang. Rob [attachmentid=11252] [attachmentid=11253]
    5. Here is the painted, late war version...sorry about the bad pic of the back.... Rob [attachmentid=10089] [attachmentid=10090]

    7. Love it....the Bren is one of those classic WW2 machine guns...although used extensively in Korea and Palestine after the war....it will always be linked to WW2....I'd love to try one of these and pop some rounds off! Lookin' good... Rob
    8. I currently only have WW2 steel....I'm still looking for a nice ww1 or transitional piece to add to my collection. You guys have some nice lids! Thanks for showing Rob
    9. two words for all of you: SAH WEET..... Great blades all around! Rob
    10. Hey Andy....let me start by saying that I know more about Third Reich items but I also have some imperial items.....This is a common EM steel buckle introduced in 1915 (I think)....they used to me made of brass but they needed the brass more for shell casings rather than buckles. Anyways...this type of buckle isn't heavily reproduced....but it is reproduced to some extent....my concern here would be the soldering on the catch...it doesn't look like the same manufacturing on any of my imperial buckles....I'm not saying that I'm 100 percent on this but it raises my eyebrows....plus the fact that there is very little rust or patina on it.....just not sure about this one! Hope this helps.....take care Rob
    11. Here's my newest ribbon bar I bought in order to keep up with my medals. It's an EKII/Ostmedaille/Westwall combination andit looks great alongside the same three medals. You'll notice my first ribbon bar....an EKII/Ostmedaille - had to get another one 'cause I recently got a West wall.....incidentally, you'll find the two place EKII/Ost ribbon now posted on the sale section. COmments and observations always welcome. Rob [attachmentid=9629]
    12. OOOOHHHHH....that does sound gorgeous! Yes...I say get the neigbour to come over and use his camera if you have to! HAHAHA....I would love to see that. Cammo sounds wicked! The time frame on the lid is great too....it could possibly give you an idea whereabouts the helmet was taken as a "souvenir". Helmet sounds fantastic.....hope to see it one day! Thanks for the great description! Rob
    13. WOW what a nice apple green M35 DD!! The liner looks absolutely mint! I would kill for one of those! It's gonna be hard to get a better lid than that one if you ever decide to expand your collection. Thanks so much for showing. Rob
    14. That's certainly a possibility...great pic by the way! I'd love to nail this shut ....anyone have any reference books that cover the weimar period? Thanks Rick....appreciate the picture and your time ROb
    15. Way cool.....did you know that stamp was there before you bought it...or was it one of those discoveries that makes your heart skip a beat....That is very cool and by the way: the adler decal is in phenomenal condition.....beaucoup sweet Joey Rob
    16. Here's their "backsides".....heheheh Again....any solid info on who was issued these small trouser buckles would be greatly appreciated. Rob [attachmentid=9553]
    17. Here it is with its more common "big brother"....the small buckle also looks like it had a gold wash to it....only small remnants remain in the nooks and crannies. [attachmentid=9551]
    18. HAHAHHAAA....My mistake man!! I thought the direction of your comment was heading towards not knowing enough about these lids....my apologies! And yeah....I know what you mean about putting extra cash into helmets rather than other "things" like cameras..... You can always tell me what kind of helmet your favorite one is....then I can let my imagination run wild! Sorry 'bout the mix up! Rob
    19. Great looker Joey....sure is a nice piece...can't say I have one with the swastika and tilted tri-colour. Good score! Rob
