    1. Hello All - I have the tunic and some paperwork on Oberst Mette, who died in Soviet captivity in October 1945. He was in 9.Infanterie Dvision as a Transport/Supply officer with the division. Any additional information is appreciated. DOB: 12/5/1887 died 10/28/1945.
    2. Mike, great set with some priceless history. I suspect that Sgt. Medas' records could be found wihtout too much trouble. Sonderf?hrer items are quite rare - thanks for posting! Don
    3. Had a chance to visit this substantial museum in mid March. Found this British Whippet there with interesting damage to the rear...
    4. What's a Xerox?? Let me see what I can do, Rick - Thanks! Absolutely no award loops - only an EKII Spange -hence the mystery. Don
    5. Hello, All - This tag is in a well-worn General Staff Oberstleutnant field tunic. Any and all help appreciated as to an actual name. Don
    6. Very nice, Wessel. Let's see some of those Waffenrocks poking out behind him! Don
    7. Interesting - the tunic was tailored in J?terbog. Glenn, do you have information on any awards? The tunic has a loopooong set of medal bar loops but only one set for an additional medal or badge. Don
    8. Thanks, Rick - The tunic supposedly comes with his WWI records, but I will investigate further. Perhaps he was Austrian. Don
    9. Hello again, all - another name tag, this in a Waffenoffizier Oberst Waffenrock. I was informed by the current owner that the name is Hartlm?ller (or Hartlmuller) and he supposedly won the DKiG in late 1944. I don't have the DKiG book handy so I can't confirm the name or the award. I wanted to see if any of the assembled cognoscenti (Rick, Simon, Hardy and others) can definitively figure out the name. As always, any help much appreciated and valued! Don
    10. I see the family name has a number of clergy in online searches. Interesting how even into the 20th century you see so many European nobility with some members in the military and some n the clergy. Thanks, Rick, for all your help. Here's a scan of the trousers: Don
    11. If the pants were crimson and not carmine would that make any difference? I don't have them in hand and only have the owner's description... Don
    12. Thanks, Rick - Sadly this is not on a tunic, but on a pair of General Staff Officer (mit lampassen) trousers. Rank I assume would be anywhere from Hauptmann on up. Don
    13. This one on the surface does not seem to be difficult, but the devil is in the details. I am getting Wolf von L?dwigshausen - anyone else see anything different? Rick, Simon, Hardy, and others, your opinions are always welcome... Don
    14. And I thought it was because it looked like Curly Howard in a Waffenrock...
    15. Hi All - I am researching a tunic and was wondering if anyone knew of a printed or online list of Spanish Cross recipients, especially of the Luftwaffe. Any help appreciated! Don
