I hope it hasn't been glued in. And you'd have to pry open the insert, weird.

The price on the KO2 is in the ballpark, but what happened to the inside of the case lid?

Agreed, although for that money I would expect at least one scarce award on the bar.

I had a good look at that HOH, keep in mind it is an Inhaber-Kreuz, so technically not an order.

That last one was on my radar, unique combination with the much-faked Anhalt order.

Yup, your typcial Polish\Lithuanian crap.

I would agree, but what does Claudio think?

Agreed, and I really like these 'black and white', all-Prussia groupings. You should make a lowball offer on it....

I've been watching that one as well Rick. I still think it's way overpriced.

Nice Haube. How did you identify the wearer?

I call this generation of fake RAO's the 'funky chicken' variant, based on the spurious eagle painting. They've been floating around German fleabay for a few years now.

It could be one of the better Blass fakes from the '70's, but still a fake. The only SAO that was real that I ever saw come up on fleabay was a very early sash badge, missing the centre medallions and marked for Hossauer of Berlin. It was also marked Louis d'Or for gold content, which would have dated it very early. I somehow missed the auction, and it wound up selling for less than the junk gold value.

Thread looks modern as well.

The market has been flooded in recent years with reductions of the SAO, and other spurious grades of the order. I'm sceptical.

I would need to see better pictures of a couple of those to be convinced as to originality.

I would say more likely made in Lithuania last week.

So does the other one. I'm not convinced by these.

That thread looks pretty modern, and why are the two EK ribbons of such different condition?

That's a tough one, could even be an Ehrenzeichen fuer deutsche Volkspflege.

Aha, those are interesting connections, thanks for the clarifications. My ancestor, Sally Innes Forbes, was descended from Alexander Forbes, Earl of Pitsligo and Baronet of Nova Scotia.

Do you know how this guy is related to the Luftwaffe ace Egmont zur Lippe?

I see this guy is selling a big Austrian bar also in a box. Very weird seeing two like this at once.

I'd like to see the back of that one, and the box. I'm a sceptic.

I don't think Wagner produced anything of that sort of quality, ever.

That second one looks like a Steinhauer piece
