    1. Hello Engraving is not official type . privately engraved so not a KIA a WIA perhaps ?
    2. USS Canopus an ugly duckling but a Valiant Ship and crew And the Fall of Corrigador May 1942 The Hellship Arisan Maru the enemy locked the POWs down in the holds so they could not escape ! only 8 out of 1800 survived
    3. Here is a trade item i just recieved Lost when Hellship Arisan Maru carrying 1800 POWs was Torpedoed by the USS Shark Oct 14 1944 Tinker was a member of the crew of the USS Canopus Subtender THe Japanese tried to sink the ship in Dec 1941 but this brave ship kept on going By faking Dead with smudge pots burning by day at nite coming to life repairing and resupplying The Battling Bastards of Bataan ! in April 1942 orders were giving to scuttle the brave ship ! The crew sent to the bottom the ship that would not sink ! The crew served with 4th Marines on beach defences at Monkey point Corrigador Most being taken POW on the beaches fighting to the end ! After the Fall of corrigador the crew sent to a variaty of POW camps Tinker was sent to Bilibod Camp around May 24th then to Cabanatuan a short time later ! Then on Oct 14 1944 sent on Arisan Maru to be shipped to Japan.
    4. Thanks ! research that came with it states that he was a member of this unit ! but found history of 29th division Blue and Grey 1917-1919 and he is missing from roster ? Any help on this ? Could be omited or wrong research ? sent for AGO Card

    10. Hello Paul i wish !!! I have only ever seen 2 !! Very rare CG PHs !! alot rarer than a Pearl Harbor or a D Day one IMO I will keep my eyes open for you !!

    14. After disscusion with experts on another forum this is not a KIA but a WIA Post War engraved Heart there is a KIA in 80th Div but not a SR someone added the 80th patch it had a 80th and a 103rd patch so a ETO WIA Heart
