After a few months, back issues are sold to non-members. See their website. http://www.omsa.org/
The idea, however, is to JOIN. I have several more Mongolian articles in the pipeline.

Invasion, occupation, plunder, pillage, extraction, and uncontrolled capitalist invention does wonders ("wonders"?) to the market.

Congratulations to Ed on his excellent article in JOMSA - better lock up my OMM's before the global collecting horde jumps on top of Mongolian
Thanks, Bob. Given the way OMSA sends out the journals (life members being the last of last) I have not seen it yet.
That is on the list of things that should change, but unlikely to do so.

More can come, on request, . . . .

The ribboned awards.
The top (mounted) four seem to represent what the veteran chose to wear by preference toward the end of his life. An interesting personal commentary.

In celebration of his relocation to a new home, I had hoped to all all of comrade Tolkachev's awards in a single post. He did not allow this, as he got too many things.
First, his screwback and pincback awards.

More to come . . . .

And here he is much later on, when he'd gotten MUCH better (with an additional MMM?!?!?).

The medal in her photo is undoubtedly the WW2 Labor Victory.
Yup, entry for her as teacher at Middle/ Secondary School No. 59, Arkhangelsk. ? High school teacher.
Thanks for new information.
And thanks for confirming my suspicions. Maybe I should trust my instincts? No . . . probably not . . . .

From what I have when you are lucky enough to get "research" on these awards (a stack of unreadable -- to me -- newspaper articles), it seems she got get ORBL for 20 years as a school teacher. If I knew precisely what to post I'd post it. And I am still trying . . . .
Speaking as someone who has just survived 33 years as a university professor:
1) she deserved it;
2) the damage shows.
Help?!?!?!?

The challenge is that, in English, there's almost nothing.
