An interesting decoration that were produced but never awarded. You can find them from 150 $ and upwards depending on what a dealer wants. The value for you is what you just paid 

Btw, number 2 is an oddity that doesn't exist,  Someone have added four ravens to a 2nd class cross. Seems to be an recent Künker purchase at a resonable price?

This one were recently offered on eBay with a buy-it-now option, so this came my way. I have simply allways loved this badge so although some would find it a little overprized I have now this nice 16 mm badge.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture, you cannot find one on the net. But he once wrote a book called Postman in China for 35 years, I would imagine there would be a picture, It's not available in the libraries here, but maybe one day I'll get a copy?

Gents, just a small Swedish group of miniatures with 2 Chineese decorations. Provenience is Erik Nordström (1884-1971). He was commissioned after a recommendation by the Swedish minister Gustav Oscar Wallenberg, the Envoyé of Japan and China, as Post General in Shanghai at the Royal Chinese General Post Office in 1910. The aim was to help facilitate its work throughout China. He was positioned in several of the Chinese provinces. He retired in China in 1945 and spent his last years in Qingdao before his return to Sweden in 1948. This would of course explain the Order of Telecommunication. The miniatures, except for the North Star and the Postal Jubilee medal is nice Gold pieces.

A recent acquisition, a nice 12 piece chain from Godet in Berlin. Although not gold, the miniatures is of excellent quality. The interesting piece is the Hessian Order of the Star of Brabant which I don't recall having seen as miniature before. The miniature is double sided (with the crowned H) whereas the full size decoration is a steckkreuz, and thus singlesided.

I'll be happy to see other examples of the miniature Brabant if anyone else have some to show! Or if anybody could do a quich ID of the recipient ....

Agree, fantastic photos. A group of men who doesn't spent half an hour in the supermarket on saturday morning trying to figure out weather they should choose white or pink toilet paper 

Both cases is unmarked, What you vaguely can see in the lid of the U I case is a structure of the miniature after having been there for many years and not a makers mark. The badge itself is unmarked as well except for a gold content mark. Your bet on the second case seems valid, this would be my guess as well, although I stick to Gardino, maybe because I like the Gardino pieces better than the Cravenzola ones?

Dear all, took some items home from the bank today to try to find some specific items. In the case there were also these miniatures of the Italian Order of the Annunziata which I believe is rarely seen, so these are for your amusement. If anybody would have any other types you could post yours for comparison.

Thoght it was lost, but I found it today! I have this little Silver cup with an added Liberty Cross. The cup is 65 mm high and the cross has enamelled arms, so I assume it should indicate one of the higher classes although I cannot be sure weather it's a 1st or 2nd grade cross. The cup is made by Tavast and have the inscription "Meie täname" which google translates to "Our thanks to" and the date 10. V 34.

Would anybody here know at which event this cup were given, to whom and if the date means something special? A google search did not do the trick for me!

Seems I could be leading the contest of who have the lowest numbered badge . I'm just wondering, although I have seen several of these, I have never seen any with a low number like 27, 208 or 1230, all I have seen have been numbered with 20xxx, 30xxx or 40xxx. But of course I haven't seen thousands! Would you know how the numbering system were made, meaning did they start with 1? I'm just curious.

Would anybody be able to help with an idenfication here. The decoration I have is this one, it's a miniature. It's made of Silver and the reverse is blank. Seems to be local made as the quality doesn't resemble a French or German maker in any way.

I have found this on the net described as "Order of the Land Reform". 

The base is identical, but the center is very different and the military Lion confuses me as this doesn't make any sense with an "Order of the Land Reform" as I understand the concept of such a decoration (but without knowing the history of this decoration).

Would anybody here able to help with this one?

A few new things from Saxony, first a Landwehr Dienstauszeichnung 2nd class, 1st model. Not a great rarity, rather common I assume, but I really like the design and the excellent manufacture ..

Then a Life Saving medal from Friedrich August ..

And a few things for you, Rudi, we cannot forget Hessen 

A nice small Gold Order of Ludwig, unfortunaltely the reverse is missing, so no need to show this!

Another variant of the 1814-15 Medal ...

And last a few relatively common miniature, I presume ...

Another small rarity just in, a Merit Medal from Bavaria under Maximilian Ioseph, Silver with a Gold crown ...

A few other things just in relates to the early wars, first a Hanseatic Legion ...

Next the Waterloo medal from Nassau, the ribbon is not entirely correct, but it came like this and will do ..

But speaking of Prussian Red Cross awards I don't think that I have showed this one before ..

Not as rare as the 1870/71 cross but not often seen either!

Wild Card, what a small beauty. This one is on my top 10 wanted list and have unfortunately been there for some time. You're right in any way, this is a true piece of artwork!

I have just bought this at a local auction. Although I collect miniatures only there's a few full size items I'd like to have, this is one of them.

Everything felt right, but after having read this topic:  http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/2570-1914-clasp-to-1870-ek/ started by Gordon I'm not so sure, I didn't really realise that there were so many copies around.

As I haven't paid yet I'd be happy to get some opinions from the more experienced friends in here, any comments?
