    1. As there was 4 stamps I post the 2 remaining pictures. The first picture is : Bagamoyo Medal. It seems this is a high ranking medal. It was awarded posthumously in 2008 to a swiss doctor which was killed in Mozambique on the last months of the civil war (1990). The second picture is the Medal for Veteran of the National Liberation Struggle, but as most of african countries, was this medal awarded to all veterans,or only to a handfull who are member of the party ? Anyway I think it's interesting to know that those awards exist. I tried to knew if Angola & Sao Tome and Principe had issued stamps with their awards, but it seems not. Emmanuel
    2. Here is the Order of Eduardo Mondlane (he is a Hero of Mozambique Independence Struggle). This Order is at least a 3 class Order.Maria de Lurdes Mutola who won a Medal at Olympic Games in 2004 at Athens was awarded the 1st Class of Eduardo Mondlane when she returned home. Also Mario Coluna from the Benfica Lisbon football (soccer) team was awarded the 3rd Class of Eduardo Mondlane (source : Diario de Noticias 27 december 2005). There is also a Socialist Labor Order for which I have no picture, but which was awarded in its 1st degree in january 2005 to 2 Governor of Province & to 3 Director of large state owned companies (telephone : TDM),ports & railways (CFM) and national hydrocarbon company (ENH). If anyone has more information (pictures),it would be great. Emmanuel
    3. Mozambique awards were "never" seen offered to collector, but last yera I purchased a serie of stamp with picture of them.they are small picture, there is no ribbon, but it's better than nothing. On first picture it's the 2 President from Mozambique & Portugal which exchange Order. You can see on Portuguese President the very small badge on collar. It's Mozambique Order of Amizade & Pace ( Order of Friendship & Peace ). On 2 nd picture it's the stamp I got from a portuguese philatelist.
    4. Here is the Uganda Version of the Military Cross. On left & right arms the Crossed Spear for the army,on top & below arms the Uganda Air Force Wings. But how many were awarded ... ? For the Victory Cross Idi Amin awarded it only to himself, but what about MC , Commendation Cross & MM ? If someone has a copy of the Ugnada Gazette it would be interesting. Emmanuel
    5. This is a picture of Ugnada Victory Cross without copyright. Idi Amin copy all british awards : VC MC DSC MM....
    6. I got the Luwero Triangle medal-given to veterans (civil and military) who fought against Ugandas' dictators (esp. Idi Amin) in a very nasty place in Africa. The ribbon has blue on the edges (this one is for photo purposes only). Looking on the net one can see that there have been complaints about deserving veterans not receiving their medals in timely fashion.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Hello ,here is a picture of the Luwero Triangle Medal whith what I believe is ( 99 % sure ) its correct ribbon. The ribbon is from Uganda ( 100 % sure ),refering to Prieto site, but on the site of Prieto there is lots of small mistake.Anyway he do a great job. Uganda has used some ribbon coming from other countries ( supplied by Spink ) to spare money. Order of Victory has same ribbon like Order of Bhutan Police Distinguished Service from Amin Dada era has same ribbon Order of the Star of Sarawak (1973-88) Malubale Medal has same ribbon as Brazil WW I War Cross. Anyway all Uganda Medal from the Post Amin time (with their ribbon) are not easy to get and Amin era medal are becoming scarce on market nowdays. In the recently published book Order of Knighhood by Burkes Peerage there is an excellent picture of the Order of the Pearl of Africa. Emmanuel
    7. Yes he's wearing the sash under his arm,and it's a normal way to wear it,when on tuxedo. Actually he is not wearing a complete sash. The sash he wear is cut and attach in the side of his tuxedo. This is to avoid too many thickness which would have as a result to make fold on tuxedo. The way he wear the sash makes his general appearance more handsome. For british it's quite normal, for continental european not that much. Emmanuel
    8. It is Saudi Arabia Great Badr Collar ,the highest distinction of Saudi Arabia. Emmanuel
    9. Also the reverse of King Mswati III Coronation in 1986. If anyone has just even a picture of the King Sobhuza Diamond Jubilee ? Emmanuel
    10. Yes awards from Swaziland are among the hardest to get worldwide. For Swazi Order I don't got any,or ever heard that someone has a specimen in his collection.I consider myself lucky to have had the possibility to watch the pictures I place here the obverse of the Swaziland King Mswati III Coronation 1986. By the way I have also the miniature of Swaziland Police (LSGC/MSM/DSM) & miniature of Swaziland Prison (MSM & DSM) for barter. If you have interest ? I'am always looking for african medals (full-size).Also from Malaysia,Singapore,Brunei,Bhutan,Caribbean States. Emmanuel
    11. Here is the reverse common to all King Mswati III medal. The medal issued during the reign of King Sobhusa II were also of high quality, but finition was shiny silver instead of dull silver for King Mswati III Emmanuel
    12. Hello it's very rare you met a medal of Swaziland on market. For exemple here is Swaziland Police Long Service & Good Conduct. Reverse for all Prison & Police Medals have effigy of King Mswati III (and their suspension does NOT swivel). The quality of of the strike is very good & in silver. Emmanuel
    13. Hello ,can anyone tell me what could be this cross brought back from Surinam ? There is the Surinam Coat of Arm in center and surronded by 4 letters. What does means the letter S A S C Could it be : Surinam Army Service Cross ? Reverse is marke Kon -Begeer / Vooschoten Any idea ?
    14. Hello ,any idea who was awarded Suche Baatar N? 127 ? Emmanuel
    15. Hello James I did contribute to that book, and I supplied some pictures (mostly low class award).Of course I got a free copy.Of course there is some mistake, like a Finland White Rose Grand Cross sash badge which is a copy (lions facing eachother!!),also Rwanda no pictures (he said me he had),also nothing for Indonesia (because the litteral translation of Bintang is Star, and the indonesian Order are not called Darjah = Order),so he didn't included them.Kuwait as a republic I just looked now and I even didn't paid attention.I did supply pictures of the 2nd type of Wissam al Kuwait.I do not own them, but I have the booklet of Garrard's with pictures of all classes of the new Order printed in 1992.As no-one never came to auction (as long as I know) I pass the pictures to him.Same for Ghana,I have the book published by Fattorini for the Ghana Chancellery,so picture of Order of the Star of Ghana comes from that book.I consider he did the job 95 % well.Of course so many self-stylised or society-like Order...why ? I wouldn't have included them in the book.If I had been reponsible for publication,I would have listed countries alphabetically with a specific mention when the country may have change regime drastically (when it is the case for most east european countries (before WWII,communist era, after communism). There is also some error in the Wherlich. You know I recently purchased a book in Kuala Lumpur on asian monarchies.Of course the quality of pictures isn't suitable for publication, but the sultanat of Yogyakarta (in Indonesia) isn't the onliest to have instituted Order on the XIX century.A sultanate of the island of Sumatra did also, but no-one ever mention it (and design is unique).I also purchased a serie of stamps on e-bay for 10 US $ with pictures of the Orders from Mozambique (I knew their name from research on the net,but I spend hours to seek for pictures on the net without succes until I got these stamps). I include here pictures of Ordem amidad & Paz from Mozambique(highest Order which came on a chain and was given to at leat one president of Portugal). It's the Order with the dove. The second Order from Mozambique is Order of Eduardo Mondlane (one of their hero from the liberation war against Portugal),we do know nothing yet about its ribbon, but at least we now know what they look like. But I'am still looking to get pictures from Angola & Sao Tome & Principe (as yet unsuccessfull) & Eritrea. There is still lots of fields to investigate in phaleristic (great fun). Emmanuel
    16. Hello James ,they didn't allow me to take a picture, because they have a copyright on them!!!Yes I got this reply. That is also the reason why Rafal heydel Mankoo wasn't allowed to use these picture in the recently published book : Order of Knighthood in 2 Volume.By the way they allow me to make a sketch. If you have the occasion to go to London, you should go to their office. I guess they could allow you to have an eye on their production book which is in their waiting room. They told me they were also crafted a special Order for Swaziland Queen Mother (they showed me a collar),which is suppose to bear name : Order of the Elephant or Order of the Great Elephant (but not 100 % sure). What I recall very well,is that the quality of workmanshif for the E'Swatini Order is very very good.
