"der Stabsbildoffizier als Leiter der Stabia (Stabsbildabteilung) war dem jeweiligen Kommandeur der Flieger direkt unterstellt. Zu seinen Aufgaben zählten die planmäßige Überwachung der gesamten Lufterkundungsergebnisse einer Armee, die Herstellung von Luftbildkarten und die Nutzbarmachung der Erfahrungen aus den Erkundungsergebnissen."

Nice one!
Fritz Vieth, born 1880, was with IR 135 in 1914, moved then to IR 459 and retitred as Major.
Got the Hohenzollern, EKs, Brunswick 1st and 2nd class with bar and a black wound badge in WW1.
In WW2 he could add a War Merit Cross 2nd class with swords

He did get the adjutants badge in 1902, after leaving that position.
It seems to me, for WW1 awards, you do slowly need a couple of award rolls :-)
RAO2aEXXRs2, BMV2aX, BremH, LüH, SA1X, SLK, ÖL2aK, ÖEK1K

Thats highly interesting!!!!
years ago I've met his grandson.
Old Army LtCol Arnold Teubner survived WW2 and lived at least until the 60ies/70ies.
His son Achim joined the Navy and became Commander. KIA in 1945, had a great part in sinking the "HMS Glorious" in WW2.
His grandson Joachim joined the German Air Force and became a LtCol too. Retired around 2002.
2nd pic, the nice chap on the left side:
So 3 Generations, in 3 different branches, all reached the same rank :-)
Have to look, if I still have some pics somewhere.
Best,
Daniel

The ribbon is for the red eagle 4 with swords.
Only the ribbons of the EK, another prussian war decoration or the lifesaving medal could be worn on the Überrock.
