imperial russia Russian Order Neck Cross ? looks like St. Anna ?
Georg14 replied to Hokuto's topic in Russia: Imperial
Good Day. This is early and rarely found version of order of St.Anna 2 kl. with diamonds/crystals (if not a fake of course) to non-Christians (with an eagle),civilians(without swords). About authenticity, well... by photos and without provenance it's not possible to say(to me). Good luck. -
Yugoslavia Order of Yugoslavian People's Army
Georg14 replied to Bryan's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Morning ! That's right I meant 5 torches on these orders. So the hallmark 900 has appeared a little before 1963. The time frame have already narrowed ! And it means that the approval that orders with wide circle were earlier is not correct . Many thanks and good luck ! -
Yugoslavia Order of Yugoslavian People's Army
Georg14 replied to Bryan's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
You're right ! The main argument for me is the presence or absence of "900" hallmark, on my early Yugoslav orders (5 torches) it is absent. On my narrow 2 cl. there is hexagonal and on 3 cl. pentagonal hallmark. Wides already have "900". So, it's necessary to find out when "900" was added. Good luck! -
Yugoslavia Order of Yugoslavian People's Army

Glad to hear You. Unfortunately exact information I didn't found but at some sites is other information - wide ring is earlier. Of course this is logical, since all committed to saving and orders with narrow ring are smaller, the purity of silver and weigh are less. I have wide 2 cl.(68,6g, noticeably lighter color of gilding) with a document of 1977. I understand that it may be attached any document as orders are without numbers... and narrow 2 cl. - 62,3g. Wide and narrow 3 cl. I have - difference is the same: 72,1/65,6g. So, there is no concrete yet... -
Yugoslavia Order of Yugoslavian People's Army
Georg14 replied to Bryan's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Good Day, Gentlemen. In what period of time the orders (silver) with wide and the narrow circles of white enamel were produced? What type is still earlier, more rare? Size and weight are quite different. P.S. Anyone knows whether published in recent years an informative handbook on Yugoslavian awards? Thanks. -
Albania Medal for the Liberation of the Country
Georg14 replied to Bob's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Good Day, Gentlemen. Can anyone explain than these medals (on other not seen) very often are soiled with and how the metal can be cleaned with (acetone and other solvents does not help)? Aanyone faced with similar? Thanks. Posts #2,6. P.S. A couple of photos from the internet. -
"...numbers given in the book of Soviet produced pieces by krasnokamsky mint correspond at least rudimentarily with those from sammler.ru?" In sept.1945 Krasnokamskiy Mint received an order for(numbers given in the book): ORDER OF THE FLAG/Urdhёri i Flamurit 400 pcs, ORDER OF LABOR/Urdhёri i Punёs 1000, MEDAL "REMEMBRANCE 1942 - 1943"/Medalje "Kujtimi 1942 - 1943" 5000 pcs, MEDAL FOR BRAVERY/Medalje Per Trimёri 6000 pcs, ORDER PARTIZAN STAR/Urdhёri Ylli Partizan 1 cl. 1050, 2 7600, 3 6800. You can compare for yourself ... But maybe there were additional orders, because the USSR produced(for Albania) some other medals too. Given the fact that later orders for manufacturing were placed in Poland, DDR and of course their own production, the numbers must be much higher !

Yugoslavia Order of the Republic with Silver Wreath.

"Would you be able to take a high quality photo of the front of the order as well?" More photos please, if I understand correctly. -
Yugoslavia Order of the Republic with Silver Wreath.
Georg14 replied to Georg14's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Thanks for answers ! Unfortunately I don't have other 2nd's yet. Size of this is 45,0x47,0 mm. To dress 3rd cl. to a 2nd is necessary to disassemble it, but it is not seen that rivets are touched (or it's a very professional job). Star on top of the Flame - I have seen such poor performance. And finally, I never seen 3rd's with IKOM stamp. But I probably did not see a lot of. So, maybe it's easier to buy exactly genuine (with 2 stamps) and find out that is inside of this one . Regards ! P.S. I have specially processed photo to highlight enamel defects, really it is not so terrible. -

Georg14 replied to Georg14's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Yes, by weight You're right, of course. Signs of restoration of order I could not find and very surprised such defect of production, in any case I'll try to change it and then I'll see what is under the gold-plated . -

Yugoslavia Medal for Bravery
Georg14 replied to wlodzimierz's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Too lazy to replace the ribbon , especially it is not a deficit . I also do not see this, probably it is fable, but maybe we have a rarity (joke of course) ! -

Yugoslavia Medal for Bravery
Georg14 replied to wlodzimierz's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Good day, Gentleman. Is there basis for the statements of some dealers/collectors (incl. from ex. Yugoslavia) that the earliest medals For Bravery (Soviet made) were with RED ribbon ? Thanks. -
Good day, Gentleman. Concrete the 6 torches type. Few questions: 1. With 2 stamps - of course it's silver, without any stamps - gilded metall. But the orders with only 1 IKOM stamp, without additional hallmark (such were on 5 torches too) ? Is it also a metall or silver ? 2. Does the size/form of the holes on the reverse suggest the time of manufactured such orders ? 3. Could be genuine order with such a poor enamel (this is not dirty... ) ? How often found a fakes of Yugoslavian awards ? Thanks.

As expected, data shown in the book and info on the website are quite different.

Only today received the book. First impressions: very interesting book with good illustrative but sometimes not good quality (maybe I got a bad one). Unfortunately there is no final data about quantity and concrete by manufacturers, only some data about Soviet production. Documents presented in "addition" - correspondence about rejection of batchs of a few orders/medals received by the Moscow Mint (there made the final part of fabrication and assembly) from Krasnokamsky Mint (it produced only stamping, bleaching and soldering) in 1945-46, that does not represent the total number of awards finally sent to Albania. Technical descriptions of the production operations. Otherwise comfortable tables of the time of establishment of awards, place of manufacture, rank, ribbons and original names. If you have any questions, please describe interests and pages. Best regards.

Fine ! Could you please give details of this book (ISBN, publisher, title). Thanks.

Morning, that is why I highly doubt these data (http://sammler.ru/in...allery&cat=1208). Especially there is no source of information and I think also these data are unreal or wrong. Unfortunately other information I can't found anywhere else... P.S. I have only Schena's 2nd edition is there a newer ? Thanks.

Good Day, Gentlemen. What was the number of awards by different Albanian orders ? There is possible to find this informanion ? Thanks.
