    2. I have recently acquired a Wehrpass to Fritz Heidrich who reached the rank of Generalmajor in 1943 before retiring in October of that year (and going missing in 1945 - believed to have died in Dresden Prison in 1945).

The Wehrpass has a lot of entries and so I thought that I would share the entries that relate to the Imperial era as Heidrich served in the German Army from 1901 to 1943, reaching the rank of Hauptmann in WW-1 and serving as a Batterie-Führer in 1915 and an Artillerie-Gruppenführer in 6 Kav.Division in 1916.

    3. Hi Kevin,

i may have posted this one before but after going through the database i could not find it.

A Minesweeper document to a Stabsobersteuermann Walter Fiedler, signed in Wilhelmshaven on 8 November 1940.

      ....

Sadly, the signature of the K,zur See und Fuhrer der Minensuchverbande Nord has faded and is barely visible.

Any idea who the signer of this document was ?

      ......

      Many thanks,Martin.

I think it is the signature of Knights Cross winner Kurt Böhmer. As you say, it is very faded but I think I can make out the 'öhm' part of his name.

    4. I want to show you the part of very intresting award document which was given in the fortress Frankfurt / Oder.

What do you think - is this signature of Biehler, Ernst or unknown major?

It's definitely not Ernst Biehler as he was a Generalmajor by the time this was signed. I seem to recall seeing this before and I can't remember if the signature was identified or not.

    5. Unfortunately, and as I am sure that you are aware, that the condition of the Pilots Badge has a huge impact on the price even to the extent that people will leave the group alone regardless of value to enable them to get a set in better condition even though the Pilots Badge is a nice early war dated example.

As for value I would say that around $200-230 is a fair one although don't be surprised if you need to reduce it further.

    7. Hucks,

Before I was turffed from WAF there was a post about stolen IR77 stuff, it was posted in the appropriate forum and I commented that I would watch out for any local stuff (IR77), don't know if you are able to cross reference your items just in case, you never know these days, you can never be too vidulant.

I am sure it is not related but I can't check myself.

      Best Regards

      Jock:)

There doesn't seem to be anything that flags up on various searches on WAF. The Seegers' group has been on the market numerous times in the past few years.

    8. After a bit of trading I have managed to acquire the extra items for Seegers. The extra's are his Truppenausweis and a photo album. The album is a post-war put-together one but it was undoubtedly done by Seegers as he has named a lot of the people in the photos and the photos also include some taken at an official veterens get-together in the 1950's.

Here is the Truppenausweis and a sample of some of the photos.
