    1. Yes, piece in post #2 indeed looks like wholestamped piece with less detailed crown (compared to the piece in post #19 that looks like multi construction piece).
    2. Well, I don't know. I will get a microscope and will "look into it" (sounds reasonable? )
    3. Damn! Here I am. Dressed reaaaaaly sharp, in the best of spirits, as pretty as picture (from recent issue of Journal on Alcoholism and Related Addictions). All about spending my Christmas in dankly Moscow town! And all of the sudden I am in Ukraine! Well, at least I am "well-known" P.S. Don't worry, last time I checked they enthusiastically weight fake ribbon for Taiwan medal. I bet they are weighting something right this second
    4. In my young days they called me Mr.Reasonability! Seriously! Already done it (am I one reasonable guy? You bet! ) If it is soldering, then it is really high quality soldering ... Unfortunately my lower classes are in deep dark patina.
    5. Well, the only explanation I have: crown is a separate part of order not only in 1st-6th classes, but also in two lower classes
    6. Already "in use" Mayor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko with Alexander Nevsky rosette
    7. I wonder if it was the "Golden Eagle" who manufactured mini`s in post #60. If so, then this firm "has no fear" Back to the main topic - RF minis Some additional examples Medal of Suvorov by СпМД
    8. Unofficial "15 anniversary of Soviet troops withdrawal from Afghanistan" and "For service in the North Caucasus"
    9. Sold here for (approximately) $30 http://www.zasluga.ru/catalog.php?tovar_id=4515 For whom they made these creatures?! I guess "strictly for collectors" Same goes for the creations of "Golden Eagle" firm that recently started to manufacture miniatures of Glories, RB and medals http://www.gold-eagle.ru/medals.html
    10. Another example of modern "masterpiece" of soviet miniature This time it is "For Military/Combat Merit Medal"
    11. Yep, we are talking about 10th lord of the Satsuma domain (a.k.a. "last Lord") Shimazu Hisamitsu
    12. Now something special (and the last one for today ) Grand Gordon in Tamatebako Miyake that was issued on November 5, 1887 (!!!) to this Gent
    13. Now what about my favourite Tamatebako Miyake?! Well, a couple of Gordon`s can be found here http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/56850-japanese-orders-in-tamatebako-miyake-boxes-for-nobles-and-foreigners/page-5 See posts # 94-97 and here http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/56850-japanese-orders-in-tamatebako-miyake-boxes-for-nobles-and-foreigners/page-7 See posts # 129 and # 130
