      Yep, another possible scenario "for long meritorious service" The quality of these medals is unbelievable ... No wonder though ... Looks like they all were made by private jewellery workshops.

      1st class bears so called "double signature". Unfortunately it is diffused opinion that this is really two different emperor`s signatures! Another naive popular belief ... It is simply Hirohito signature + Hirohito trying to mimic his father signature It was issued on May 10, 1926
