Indeed Mickey! The only question: what badge was the first? Could be Military Merit Decoration Military Merit Decoration was introduced on March 20, 1938. Type 4.1 and type 4.2 wound badges were introduced on August 3, 1938. Both badges were made in Japan. Only wound badges were manufactured by Mint (at least according to the box interior inscriptions) and military merit decoration was manufactured by private workshop (?) of Jitsuzo Hinako (according to Peterson).
