    4. Personally I don`t see that quality is poorer... Simply different subcontractors. Actually there are three types of Striped Tiger boxes 1) wooden, glued over with cloth boxes 2) lacquer boxes 3) dermatin boxes Sometime you can hear that wooden boxes came from earlier period. Another naive speculation ... Wooden, glued over with cloth boxes were used in China until (at least) 1944. Cheers, Nick

    6. Of course they are not, but finding them in the boxes that have silver kanji on the cover and with orders that bear mark M (or established only in 1936) certainly add savour :whistle:

    11. Documents for the Khalkhyn Gol Badges are pretty dull in design and have no photos of cavaliers inside. Here comes the most interesting (and rare) first type of document for first variation of the badge.
