    1. Looks like this Jar was made by the same maker (“Arita ware”) that made “Plate from Nagasaki” (issued November 25, 1981). Let’s take a look at plate reverse.
    2. Makers mark at the bottom
    3. Recently found this one on ebay. Very nice example of prize ceramic issued by wounded soldier association in 80s. A jar with the image of wound badge and recipient wound “history”. Mr Yamamoto Kisaburo was awarded with this jar on November 1, 1983. He was wounded November 10, 1937 in a battle in China Suzhou while serving in the first regiment of the Kurume tank, Yoneda unit.
    4. Any hope for photo of reverse? Any info about material? Cheers, Nick

    7. These are "gazyry" ["газыри"] (from adygei "хьазыр" - "готовый" - "ready"). Originally these were the holders for ready-to-use powder + bullets charges covered in paper. Later (when bullet was introduced) these became decorative element. Regards, Nick
    8. What a nice photo-portrait! Lions are lying? By the way this dude has "two lions and grenade" cockade, but "standing lion with the sword" emblem on his buckle... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr as my friend Mitya would say.
    9. Yep, this one is really rare and nice! Please take two!!! ;)
    10. I should really hurry with this new thread devoted to Cossack brigade, before you my friend post every Cossack photo in this thread! Regards, Nick

    14. Manchukuo Army Pilot Badge
    15. Obviously "slotted propeller” badges were used as prototypes for rare Manchukuo Army Pilot Badge – the only difference between them is the superimposed star. Most likely both badges (japanese and manchukuo) were manufactured by the same japanese workshops
