    1. In continuation of these threads http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/50360-sacred-treasure-silver-rays/ http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/49099-order-of-the-sacred-treasure/ This beauty arrived today. The Order of the Sacred Treasure with Gold and Silver Rays (ex 5th class). No box and no rosette… On the bright side – document + excellent condition of the order. This one was issued in November 3rd, 2005 for Sato Setsuo.
    2. Post 16 in this thread http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/53054-russians-and-their-lions/ Cheers, Nick
    3. Nice photo mate! But actually this photo was signed (most likely) on June 30, 1909. In addition to 2nd class breast star of lion and sun order this handsome desperado has breast star of noble Bukhara order. And a HUGE watch on the left hand! Regards, Nick P.S. Almost finished the new thread completely devoted to Cossack brigade ;)
    4. Hmmmm... You see I have couple of ribbon medals in my collection, that was issued in late 90s and early 00s. They all have typical old style pin bow rosettes And we all know that in 2003 these medals got small safe pin rosettes. Cheers, Nick
    5. I bet that it will come with the safe pin rosette made in silver But the real deal will be the doc and the order! Cheers, Nick
    6. Interesting, high quality photo Markus! Thanks! By the way, all Morads lions are standing Cheers, Nick
    7. Thank you very much Pieter for this info! As for the watershed between lapel and safe pin style rosettes ... I think that the final change occurred in 2003. But when these safe-pin style rosettes occurred for the first time? I guess Dieter dating was based on red cross orders rosettes Personally I've never seen a documented red cross order with safe pin rosette inside the box... Regards, Nick
    8. I wonder what rosette our colleague Pieter received with his sacred treasure order back in 1983 Not to mention that Pieter is a cavalier of 3rd class rising sun order :)
    9. Thanks Rich! And I recently saw a documented 4th class with two screws dated 1994. Regards, Nick
    10. Great info Gavin! Many thanks! Temple order... That's very unusual! And with several classes! Another philanthropy award? Any ideas what this stylized NV in central medallion means? Regards, Nick
    11. Nope That was the "sound of reflection" To tell you the truth I just don't know... I don't have any coordinates to date these pieces. But these are post war pieces...
    12. You are one distrustful fellow Mitya ... Have faith! ;)
    13. If this is breast star of Aftab order then :speechless:
    14. Higher class (auction house sold this one with the following legend “…This lot have been given to a French Air Force officer serving in China”)
    15. And another very interesting order. Interesting mix of two previous designs (striped tiger and double dragon). Unidentified one. Maybe someone could translate the hieroglyphs on the rays?
    16. Nice specimens mate!!! Are you kidding me? Aluminum clasp is more than enough! And of course "paper label" variation What will be your dating estimate? Cheers, Nick
